Sent my pieces up a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately, I can't make the opening, but hope to see it before it comes down. Many thanks to Stoner, Brian and Conder for letting me be a part of it.

There'll be a pretty cool piece by Pete Ogden in the show. Not to mention some superbad video game illustrators, photographers and even a couple unknown Hillbillies (my first art show since the 6th GRADE!) Hope to see ya there...

Here is a link to the gallery with more info on the show.

There are some really great artists involved. I've seen most of the work now and I am really proud of what we are showing. Besides the great art on the walls, we will be showing bikes from Jason Jessee and Max Schaaf, Conder's Satan dragster and a mini bike from Cole Foster. I did the poster and will have a small number of them available at the opening.

Here is a list of the artists:
Shawn Barber • John Bell • Boogie • Shannon Brooke • Tim Conder • Daniel Martin Diaz • Ed Fox • Coby Gewertz • Dan Gilday • Bruce Gossett • Eric Haines • Jason Jessee • Chas Ray Krider • Karen Kuehn • Jenny Lens • Mac • Chris Martin • Larry Mills • Estevan Oriol • Marco Patino • Jim Phillips • The Pizz • Rob Struven • Jay Watson • Keith Weesner • Jeff Werner • Timothy White • Adam Wright • Derek Yaniger

The opening reception is at 6 pm. Hope some of you can make it. Make sure to say hello

    Brian

Hit up Steff's sports bar across the street. Maybe you'll see some chubby cleavage/ lots of tv's and a pooltable. Theres also a little bar across the street as well with all these old Indian and Harley motorcycles hanging in the widows, old motorcycle theme.

Any idea on the parking scene ? I'd like to drive the rod in, but not if I have to park it in the dead zone.

    About old car parking:

"In addition to the surrounding block reserved for invited hot rods, customs and bikes, the Garage Magazine exhibit features special support from Jesse James’ West Coast Choppers and work from thriving subculture’s top artists, painters, illustrators and photographers."

If you get a chance, try and make it by the show. There are quite a few artists you may not have heard of that are fantastic at what they do. One of Pete Ogden's "Super '65" F.E.D.s is in there (up high so you can really look at it.) I'm roughly 10,000 bucks away from running it, and I believe the car serves a much better purpose here than sitting in a garage.

"Satan" is a currently NHRA legal tire smoker and a fine example of '60s era master race car builder Pete Ogden's talent. It's b******* with cast parts as well. Parts that were designed and whose original molds were made by guys nobody seems to remember. ET III rear wheels, Donovan valve covers, Hampton blower case (with fins taken off) etc. All of these pieces started as working sculpture.

If you've ever wondered how an fed's ch***is is constructed, how to set up a throttle ***embly or roughly any mystery details on these cars, I'm inviting you to look. Some "names" and "no-names" have helped me build this car, here's a few...

    *Pete Ogden did the ch***is
*Pat Foster built the swing gate fuel tank
*Chris Bocciocco was Ogden's partner at the time of construction. He's a race car builder with 35 years experience and is currently a lead fabricator at Kosman Specialties. He did most of the finish welding and many of the recent bits. (Check out how he mounted Foster's fuel tank!)
*"Lean" Gene Adams set up the fuel system.
*John Wooten from The Load Levelers welded a bit on it
*There's a bit of my work everywhere on the car.

These guys have been my mentors for a long time. They've taught me volumes and I'm saying thanks.

Take all the pictures you want (of the rail) and feel free to contact me with ANY questions you might have. Also, take a long look at the rest of the art too. If you missed the opening, there were some BAD*** cars and bikes that navigated through the city (most with open pipes) to support the show. Really good people were there, havin' a ball.

Thank you to Garage, the Minna Gallery and all who are participating in this. I !@$%&^%$#@!#$%ing love ya.
