Joyo and I woke up early on Sunday to get a head start on our 1000 mile drive to Shreveport. The plan was pretty simple - We'd drive all day to make Louisiana, stay at Doc's house, and then haul the wagon back to Texas using Doc's roll back. Of cours...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.
Despite the MULTIPLE incidents, it was a great trip. That was the best roadtrip I've ever been on....Period. Doc is one amazing dude. That's some SERIOUS karma he's earned. Thanks to everyone for making the show and trip a great memory.
I knew it! I told Megan, I betcha Doc and Mark are going to fix that wagon before Ryan gets back. Sure enough, once again DOC to the rescue. Hat's off to Mark55 as well! GREAT guys, the salt of the earth for sure.
doc & mark are indeed heroes, another great example of hambers helping hambers! (just happend to be our fearless leader) that is what makes the HAMB so awesome
That's great, I figured the same thing. I told Andria "I bet Doc has Ryan's car fixed when he gets there." Wow, I guess I wouldn't know what to say either.
Glad to hear you finally made it home. and in once piece....more or less. There are some real heros on this board...the kind of people that would give you the shirt off their backs...and then some. I've always been amazed by the generosity of the HAMB.
When you see light at the end of the tunnel,,,,beware,,,it's another train! BTW,,,I just renewed my Alliance Membership,,,that might make your day Ryan! HRP
Proof Karma exists. I know of no other person that has done more nice things for folks than you Ryan. Half of it goes completely unpublicized. I know from experience.
Trust that you and your family are looking forward to a stress free holiday weekend. Your past week will hopefully be a 'one off' and not part of a series. Great that you have friends who really make good things happen. All the best.
It was great to meet both of you guys on Saturday and I am glad that you made it home safely. The show, the music and the people were absolutely great. I am bummed though about all of the problems you had especially since I am afraid that it will discourage you from putting the show on again next year. The weather is something that you cant always count on and it certainly played a role in the low turn out, however it didnt dampen the spirits of those of us that were there. My hope is that you will continue to sponsor the show cause Im lookn forward to next year!
I just signed up for Alliance Membership, been ****ing info from the board for a long time and not contributing much. The display of brother/sisterhood related to Ryan's adventure, and the folks on the board jumping in to help out, makes me want to do what I can to support it.
that is cool as hell, glad that we have a group of great people here !! i guess murpys law must have been left in ohio, but im glad you had a great ride home hay ya better check and see if they tied a can to the frame causing the noise, they may be pranking ya -- he he glad ya both made it home safe with the wagon
Thanks for the kind words, but Doc and I just did what I know in my heart that each and every one of you would have done. It's just taking care of family.
