Anybody going to the Hootenanny,Saturday?

Hard to p*** up Social D! I've never seen Mike in person...Can you pay at the gate,to get your car in? Anybody know???

The last time I took a car there, You had to pre register the car and it fills up months before the show. Probably no way you will get your car in on the day of the event.

 

Skip the Hootenanny, leave your car at home, and wait to see Mike at the House of Blues...

 

I went to the last few hootenannys and they were cool but to many fights. You can pay at the gate if your just walking in not sure if you can bring your car in without pre registering.

I'd wait to see them at house of blues also, Mike Ness played yesterday in Ventura....

 

Hootenanny=heat, long long lines for everything, thousands of people and only 2 bathrooms, billy gangs and more billy gang fights, its honestly one of the worst shows I've ever been to. Dont get me wrong, I saw some amazing bands, but skip it and see the bands somewhere else.

 

I miss all the fun! I never see the fights!

 

I've never pre-registered. Just shown up. Never had a problem getting the car in. So I dont think that is an issue.

As far as car shows go.......it's a concert event with cars. Not really a "car show" . Can be fun....can also be a drag if one of the greaser gangs decides to start nonsense where you are parked.

You'll wait for ever to get in, pay alot of money to see a few bands, and that's without your car in their "show" area. If you're looking to see any of the bands do it somewhere else. Social Distortion plays alot around here and If I were you I'd go and see them play at the House of Blues in Anaheim or the Gl***shouse in Pomona.

Wow I hope we get some greaser gangs here in Detroit. WTF Is this **** for real? A bunch of bored kids from Anaheim? I find it hard to believe there are greaser gangs now?

It's like watching Sha-Na-Na fight the cast members from Grease....

 

I was there, i saw how the fight started. One guy claimed Murrays was the best, the other said Dax (red can) was the best. Then all hell broke loose.

 

Just like the 50s bro...

I dunno about that, But i was there some years back and saw one start .....

Guy was in the Beer line, Pretty drunk, Kissing all over his Girl..... Some Taco~Billy Tough guy said the Drunk guy was "Disrespecting" Taco~Billy guys Girl by making out in the Beer line.

Taco~Billy starts pushing Drunk Guy around, Then Rival "Gang" starts in on Taco~Billy guy and turns into about 10~15 guys Rumble !

While they fight, Drunk Guy & his Girl kinda just stumble off into the crowd.

Later on Drunk Guy & his Girl are walking outside the line up of cars & First Taco~Billy guy & his "Gang" see him stumble by so they start throwing Cups of Beer & Bottles at them yelling out Rude **** to the Girl.

Stupidest **** Ive ever seen, Last time i ever went... To bad to cus at that show i saw Scotty Moore wipe the stage with Horten Heat & a few other members from the other Bands that played.

Like I said before in another post about viva, its everywhere and not getting any better. I've had my dealing with a few of these billygangs. These ****s arn't into the cars or the music. Just found a new group of people to bully around. ********ers are all the same, be it a shaved head or with grease in it.

 

WOW. Like everything else i guess that will soon make its way here.

 

And all this is exactly the reason you won't find me at the Hootenanny. Tired of this whole jacket club, who's got the biggest psycho-pomp, walk-a-billy BS. Plenty of other GREAT car shows and all the bands that are playing at the show play all over So. Cal. on a regular basis if I feel the need to see them.

I thought I saw Elvis in that crowd. He was supposed to be eating a burger in Kalamazoo. It must be hard to land a punch with all the hot sweaty grease going around. Boxers use Vasoline on thier faces, those guys use pomade.

 

what you mean to tell me none of you guys have ever been in a rumble, or none of you guys dress like greasers? its funny though when you go to these shows how people act around their friends when their drunk or sober. everybody mad dogs each other for no reason. at car shows ive even been mad dogged for even looking at cars. wtf .i dont get it.........
