I pulled the thermostat out of the 322 Nailhead, though could not locate a part number. Does anyone know which thermostat would fit?
I use Rocks auto parts a lot lately. The only decent auto parts store is a 1/2 hour drive. $$$ It's very easy to do your own on line search to find what you want. Their delivery is quick and if you really calculate gas mileage, the shipping is a wash unless it's really heavy. You don't have to deal with the counter jockeys that want to know if your 54 Buick has ABS. I've found lots of parts for old cars cheaper here than the specialty old car parts sites. I needed a clutch kit for a 66 Ford. They had a "close out sale" listed along with several others to choose from. I was leery but I took a gamble and opted for the bargain 70 dollar clutch kit. It turned out to be a Borg Warner Brute force kit. Even with shipping I hit a home run. I was expecting a Chinese clone in plain paper packaging but I was pleasantly surprised. They list 4 stats for your car with different temps including an "economy" brand. I'm frustrated with parts stores. PS they just sent me spam today...5% off everything I order through Sept 2. That's better than a kick in the ***. Unlike the parts stores, I think they want my repeat business.
Both are good suggestions. I just went out and looked through my spare parts but I must have used my spare thermostat. Rockauto is great but if you need one now..local auto parts will have them. I took my old one in and they had a new one in my hand in no time. What is the 322 in? pics? Fitysix
