Hi. Some pictures of the loud mufflers car show 08, in Vernouillet near Paris... http://web.mac.com/nwolleb/Kustomgallery/Bienvenue.html
Very cool. Correct me if I'm wrong, I thought "modified" cars were not allowed on the road in France...
They are not... But we still drive them... The police has every right to impound an illegal car... I got stopped on the way home to Paris with Weesner in my car and it was quite a fun moment. "Are you allowed to be on the road with this car ?" "yeah, why couldn't I be ?" "Sorry, just asking" "ok, bye." They are simply muddled up in different laws that they don't know all that well, and in any case they're so astounded to see a hot rod that they just don't know what to say... I've been lucky so far...
How many american cars showed up? Any more pics or details? That's cool. I didn't know there were hot rod shows like this in France.
More pics here : http://www.flickr.com/photos/71236478@N00/sets/72157605908713547/ (photos by Hemi'Drix) There were some REALLY ugly things... (I'm thinking about the A roadster on deuce rails with the wal mart rims I'm sure you'll puke when you see it) But other than that it was quite good for the french scene... cheers
That light blue A (roadster-from a coupe) is actually a really nice car originally built in England by Shug Hanchard, and recently refurbished and painted. The new owner obviously should have bought something else, as his taste in wheels is VERY misguided. I asked if it was a joke when I saw it, but sadly it was not. By the way JoZeF, we got pulled over TWICE, remember? Good times!
Wow that's impressive for being in France. I was there a few months ago and only saw Peugeots and scooters. That green shoebox looks rad from the front, I'm not too sure about the taillights though. And I really liked the 54 Merc for some reason. Thanks for sharing.
Slightly OT, but still in Paris. On a recent trip to Paris (missed the Loud Muffler's Car show by a week ) we purchased a two colour, pinstripe panel from Exotica. The artist has signed the piece 'E.B.' Just wondering if anyone can tell us who the artist is? Thanks
