Here is a 62 Tbird that we are finishing up. Hoping to bring it to the asphalt Invitational. I've got lots of pic and little time to post, but here are a few. I will try and update as we go along. It's gonna be down to the wire.....
Killer work there Walrus. Can't wait to see her all done. You should be commended on not over chopping that thing. It's a piece of art.
Very cool, The only problem is, now I have to cut my Tbird. Details on the chop would be great. It looks like you layed the back window forward, pretty much the same idea we came up with here but what did you do for the front glass, wind wind and windshield?
Dude I have to say that is the first shark bird chop I have seen that looks right to me. Man I cant wait to see this thing done! please post new pics when you have the chance!
Great job, I know how tough it is to chop one of them, my boss and I did one back in the 80's. Very nice engine, and differetn choice of color...I like it!
wow! what a cool bird, the color is great, the chop is right on,the motor compartment is outstanding and it sits right, nice job, the only thing its looks like a 61 to me, I like 61,62,and 63s
Since you've done a '63 and now there's a '62 being done, My '61 is available for customizing! Of course the shop that does the work will get full credit for the build ;-)
We had a suprise happen to the car. It involves a trip to big M auto salvage in Williams to get a new roof. I will post pics after the weekend. Boy oh Boy I love cars!!!!
Man that thing is looking good . ive come in to the shop a couple times and seen the progress . coming along nice.
That looks awesome! Lots of great thinking on that one. I'm especially loving the grille, exhaust through the bumper and the interior.
Once again, the bird isn't going to make it to the show. zippin in a new roof tomorrow, and the chrome is a no show. The 51 victoria will be there, but you'll have to wait for the bird. so sad.........
Would still like some details on the chop like how much did you remove and how are you handling the side glass.
Hey, Kool Bird chop project! Jus' curious as to why you chose to quarter cut the center panel of the roof vs. side cuts along the Cant rails. If cut along the sides, the center of the roof remains intact, and all filler pieces and the majority of the welding is outboard of the center of the roof. It's much easier to shape and weld this way. PLEASE don't take this as me 'fecal flinging' your project, it looks great, and worked out for you, jus'curious. Swankey Devils C.C.
