I am a rookie here, just signed up!
I found this site while doing a google search on how to turn a 4 door into a 2 door and this is where i ended up.
I bought an old school 55 Chevy post race car (I dont think it would be cl***ified as a G***er). It has been sitting for 20 years and the body is rusted beyond repair. The car has a nice narrowed Dana rear and the frame is in good shape and was told it was setup by Jegs in Ohio back in the day. I just really liked the way it looked.
Just recently this old guy just gave me a 55 4 door Bel Air 6 cyl. that was sitting in a tobacco barn for a while. It needs floors and the trunk patched but it doesnt have as much rust as my 2 door car. So my intentions are to make the 4 door body into a 2 door and put it on the frame that has the Dana rear.

I am just a guy who likes to tinker in the garage and dont have any experience with body work. But I do have a little comon since and a mig welder. I am looking forward to learning from the guys on this site! Hope I didnt boar anybody to much with my first post.
    Thanks,
    Mark

Happy to see another "Marylander" on here. I run a machine shop/welding shop for DOD so give a holler if you need any tips. I'm always glad to see someone being resourceful and working with what they've got to make what they want.
