I have installed a 302 and C6 into my 54 Ford Mainline. I am looking to anyone that has done this with their 54's. I am using my stock column shifter for the auto trans, and my stock accelerator pedal. Does anyone know who carries a trans linkage and carb linkage for my application? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  3. Wander the junkyards.
There's some good ones on Osborne St near Hansen Dam in the San Fernando Valley.

Santa Paula has some good yards at the west end of town.
Look up West End auto wrecking.
I think there's a Pic a Part there as well.

Some of the 70's - 80' vans and pickups should have what you need.

I'm guessing that getting the auto-trans linkage at the junkyard and making up your own throttle rod from 1/4" stainless rod and Heim joints would do the trick.

There's a lot of good stuff out there that's usable and you can make the rest.
Better and cheaper than some of the aftermarket made in China ****....

Got the neutral safety switch covered. Checked out local junkyards in San Fernando Valley and wasn't too satisfied with what I found, plus the guys that work there are no help at all.

Kugel # sak1600L . universal shift linkage kit. ( its for gm trans ) With all the adjustment you should be able to adapt this to work on your ford.
The way it works is the splined drum and slotted arm can be adjusted to exactly match your trans.. Maybe bolt or weld the splined drum to the trans??
I have used this a couple of times with awesome results.
The throttle linkage will be easy! 1/4 " all thread and some heim joints from orchard supply.
The trans kick down/ throttle pressure linkage can be solved with Lokar part # KD20c6ht. Make sure you really do have a c-6.. small block c-6 is pretty rare .. For c-4 the # is KD20c4ht.
    good luck
    Dave
