I emailed you an invite the day before the show. Sorry for the late notice.

For all those asking, Garage posted pics from the show on their blog, and 111Minna is still putting all the artwork in the show on their site here. Looks like they are about 1/3 of the way done. Check back for more.

I will be in town in a couple of weeks. This is something I must check out. Is any of the art work for sale? I checked out the galleries home page , but it doesn't say if the art is for sale.

I don't want to sound negative, but for those of you that are planning on attending the "Garage" show at the Minna Gallery, I would check with the gallery (personally, on the phone) to see what their hours of operation are before you plan a trip.
Their web site says they are open Tuesday thru Saturday, 12-9 PM.
We made the hour and 45 minute drive on Saturday to San Francisco and arrived at the gallery about 3:45 PM.
The doors were locked and they were closed. WTF?
    Bummer for sure.
Anyway, just call them i guess to make sure of the hours. I have a friend that went Thursday night and he said it was very cool.
    Probably very worth your time.

Here are a couple pictures from set up day. That's odd about the gallery being closed like that. Not a good thing, but your right...call them to make sure. All the art is for sale (one of the rules of submission of work).

There's a really nice place to eat right across the street from the gallery, filled with a ton of wicked antique motorcycles. Great place to take your girl. Eat some good food, see some art and have a drink. Pretty cool...

We went down there just to see if there might be someone at the gallery, not a soul around, went across the street to the motorcyle place, its called rickenbakkers, its a bar/restaurant, there are some cool old bikes hanging from the ceiling.

The chick at the bar said if we wanted to see the gallery, come at night when the bar opens?? the website says 12-5 tuesday through friday?? called there a couple times, no answer, did leave a message no return call? confusing!

what we could see through the front door, looked cool!... weird schedule and apparently the website gives the wrong times according to the chick at the bar?

as bava17 said, I dont mean to be negative but damn I dont get to san fran ever, and we really (co workers from all over the u.s) wanted to go there, check it out,and probably buy some stuff.

f.y.i. if your driving down there to check it out, I would make damn sure there open and for sure there! ....

Those !@#$%'s are stepping on their !@#$s. The magazine or the artists in the show don't have control over the gallery. They know about the problems. It's already been said but, CALL THE PLACE before you go. I know you shouldn't have to, but I guess you do.

    THANKS for trying.
