Anyone know of a place that sells metal in small quantities close to Bartlesville, OK? Local supplier only sells in 20' sticks and I only need a foot to make some spacers for my motor mounts. I am looking for some 3/4" thick material and I am needing 2 pieces 3 3/8" x 6 1/2". I don't mind paying the price for it just hate buying a bunch of extra material I probably won't use in the next decade. Thanks for the help!
This may not help but I buy small quatities of metal from Metal Express, http://www.metalexpress.net. The closest location to you is in St. Louis but I am pretty sure they will ship smaller pieces. It won't hurt to call and find out. You can also check with McMaster-Carr, http://www.mcmaster.com/
Quite often the Ag equipment, trailer manufactures and or machine shops will sell small pieces for scrap prices. And don't forget the scrap yards. Most sell small pieces of metal along with buying it to recycle.
