The big engined Jet boats do use so much gas because the jet drives are soooo inefficient. That's why they need such high HP engines to get them to go fast. That's why I liked this one being a prop drive.

That guy must have been crazy, he practically gives away a great boat but wants top dollar for the rusted car?

Yes but he called me yesterday on the car and had dropped his price by more than half. I think I can get the car for about $1,500 so I'll probably do it.

A buddy of mine has both Mercruiser and Volvo SBC'c that would pop right in to that boat. I think he has outdrives also. Looks like you might need steering parts also which I might have. PM me if interested. It will at least need through the transom exhausts just to get the noise level correct. Maybe trim cylinders and motor control too.

I really like that little Chrysler boat. What's cool is that it's a tri hull with the close bow. Would be interested in it if you are not. Let us know the price.

UPDATE: The guy that sold me the boat just called to tell me that he will take my offer of $1,400 for the 67 Pontiac Grand Prix Convertible I originally went to look at. It's a little rough around the edges but has a decent interior and the factory YK 428HO and is a loaded navy blue with white interior car. It even has the rare Pontiac 8 lug wheels that are worth about $900. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow.

He's asking 3500 for the Chrysler boat. Not being a boat guy I dont know if thats out of line or not. If not I may trade for it, then as I could use the $ it may still be for sale.

A truly used boat in that style would be 1500-2000.00. That boat in that shape 3500.00 is not a bad starting point. It would be a fairly inexpensive boat to operate. Good luck on the dealings.
