I am going there on Friday. Trailering ( I know, I know) my 32 3-W there only because I am delivering a fresh SB Chevy to my son Scott, who lives in Columbus. He is building a 32-5W "old school" coupe. Hard to put an engine in the trunk of a coupe!

 

I have not had a car there in a couple years, do they still have registration there at the fairgrounds? What times on thursday is registration? What time do they open the gates on friday and saturday?

 

I hope to make it Saturday. Only the second trip for the Pontiac but it did well on the first.

It says the gates open at 8am both Friday and Saturday. Who knows what time they will 'really' open though!

 

That page you linked for me said that registration was open from 8a. to 6pm on thur. Thanks

 

Plan to be there Fri. mid-morning.. I'll be driving my custom 64 Pontiac Catalina, silver/gray with blue flake top..looking for hood hinges and that's another story LoL..Plan to be at the meet & greet on Sat.......deedster

 

I'll be there from Thursday to Sunday.

I heard the 17th Ave exit is all screwed up. Anybody around Columbus know how they are going to have us get in and out?

 

17th is good .all the work was done around june 21st

 

They usualy open the gates around 6:00am. But the fun realy begins around 11:00 pm the night before.

 

Are you sure? I just went by there less than 2 weeks ago and it was orange cones everywhere at the exit....!!

hey grumpy i just went on the the odot web paige and also columbus ohio highway construction page and the 17th ave construction shouldnt be an issue. i havent been through there lately but ill check with my driver at work for an eye witness account of the deal......

I eye witness it almost every day. It's all good, they actually finished the repairs early. Yea no shit.

The exits are good to go. they finished up the repairs ahead of schedule. I travel past there everyday

hey grump i also drove though there this morn on my way into work. clear as hell not even a orange cone in sight. i even got off the freeway and drove around the fair grounds . some stuff allready set up too....

 

Last year there was over 6500 !

Where are you guys cruising? I know 161 and busch is hot, but I was there last year and it was pretty fuzz filled. I heard something about some gassers down by the airport, but I don't have any confirmation of that. Where are your favorite spots? Which night?
