Hi Guy's, I've been looking at options for new seat covers for my Chevy and found a company called Automotiveinteriors.com. Has anyone on here had any work done by them and if so what was the quality like? I want to use them to make my custom seat covers and then buy extra material to do my door panels, package tray etc. Thanks
mexican blankets....... just kidding, i am in the same boat of looking for a good quality interior guy
I think that is where I got my carpet at, I found them online and bought it and it was at my door 3 days later. I have not put it in yet but it seems nice.
http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=460051&d=1214749529 Good prices, for an inexpensive interior. Not high quality, more like driver quality. They also sell panels sewn together for door panels, i.e., flat with roll and pleat. I did my 50 ford F1 with their stuff.
My car will be a driver, mice got to the original seats while it was in storage. I did buy some NOS slip over covers but they fell apart after a couple of months as the vinyl got very brittle. I've been working on the car a couple of years now. finally finishing off bodywork ready for paint. My wife said all she wants for her birthday in September is a ride in it. She's even prepared to pay to get it painted rather then me painting it. Doesn't want a mess in the garage.
I bought my seat covers, extra material and carpet from them. Quick and friendly service. I can't complain given the price, but heat sealed pleats can only get so good. It fit my budget at the time. Decent fit and quality. I'm not so happy about how my carpet is wearing and had trouble fitting it in my '49 Ford since it was cut too narrow at the front, so I wouldn't buy the carpet. I would use them again. Try EZ Boy hot rod interiors if you want better quality sewn seat covers. Here are a couple of shots of my interior.
maybe off topic, but I got the floormat for my 71 f100 from them. I was happy with it, nice fit. And on my doorstep within 3 or 4 days.
