My brother usually camps out up the hill prolly real close to where you're talking about. I'm sure he and I can get something together up there. I still have my white HAMB banner that should be easy to spot from that whole area below, like the swap meet area.

I went for the first time last year and was blown away by the number of cars. Thinking about going this year but don't have a room. Anyone have an extra bed to share the cost of a room. Let me know.

 

Several of us are going down for Saturday only. Decided to do just a day trip this year...kinda like a stop and shop...

 

I'll be getting in Wednesday evening. My dad will be getting there Thursday. Looking forward to the meet and greet again!!!

We'll be there for the 37th time in a row. Arriving the Sunday before and leaving Sunday after we pack up our booth. Stop by and say Hi - we'll be in the same spot we've been in since the first building expansion which puts us right where the flood was oh so many years ago.

i will be there friday and saturday, but not bringing the stude. Maybe that will change next year

 

I will be there for sure and this year I will have a booth.I will be set up in the new north wing on a corner spot but really cant remember where right off the top of my head.I know its odd a pinstriper set up inside but hey I was not going outside for a few reasons....1 it always rains,2 most of the time its hot as hell outside,3 booth rent is cheaper,4 Hey I have legs so I can walk to the cars that people want done.See everyone the first weekend in Aug.

 

Unless something really strange happens I'll be there with the Frazer...Yes we set up on top of the hill next to the road... we will have a small tent and I won't do anything out of the ordinary but if ya'll want to visit in this location that's fine with me

 

Sounds like a plan to me, I've got some name tags that are generic. I'll bring them.

Count me in... not sure if I'll be in town thurs or fri, but I'll be there all weekend. Still up in the air as to if I'm drivin the A, but for now expect to see it

 

BobK, I'm not sure that I'll be there that early on Friday, but Lil John should be. Look for his Frazer RPU up on the hill. He's tough to miss too...

A friend of mine sent his registration in late and just got his number this past week. It was in the 6,000 catagory. He also was able to get a room for one night in a hotel near the gate. Attendance may be down this year.

I was at the big flood event... Actually one of the last I attended as a youngster. We were talking about coming up but too much going on right now.

 

I'll be there if things go as planed.

 

There is no doubt that the attendance will be down. Almost every major event this year is down from the highs of the past. 4 dollar a gallon fuel and the increased expenses elsewhere are having a affect. But it still will be more cars/trucks than you can look at ... and the reduction of the crowd can be a good thing for those who do attend. The lines will be shorter and the cafes will not be as crowded.

 

I'll be there in the green 46 Chevy sedan delivery..."the wild turkey Delivery" Have not missed but 2 since 76!

 

Anything to do in town on Wednesday? I get in Tuesday night and will have the booth set up up early Wed so looking for something interesting on Wed mid day before the Hot Rod Industry Alliance meeting. Won't have my 3 window as I'm flying in to work but will have a rent a wreck to get around in. So what's in the area?

 

We'll be there with El Tiki. Always have a good time AND less people will make it even better.

Speaking of the flood (we were there), it doesn't sound like good (roadster) weather this year....

I will be in the area that Bob is talking about. I have a 48 F1 truck sith CROWN AUTO BODY INC. on the doors. It is rusty. I will also have a black teardroptrailer and a SNAP ON Canopy. The RRT trailer was next to us last year because of the big tents that Bob talks about. Look us up.

I was going for five years in a row, but my dad just had a kidney removed (along with a softball sized tumor) so I'm out. Yeah, It is hot, expensive, billet heaven, and an over priced swap. But, it has always been a fun time to get away with my pops and eat, sleep, breath cars for a weekend. Kinda bummin if ya couldn't tell.....

Recently checked the weather for that weekend, as of today a 40% chance of rain friday and a 60% chance of rain saturday. But living in kentuck those precentages mean nothing! If it rains, it rains, if it don't it don't. The meterolgist never get it right here!

 

Leaving on thursday morning staying till saturday.
