Gambino Kustoms. He's an alliance vendor... The vendors need/deserve our support

bags in general are a h***el, as soon as all the leaks are gone something will start leaking, or the compressor will drain your battery overnight because you didn't turn the override switch off. I had them put on my old buick and sure it looked cool laid out but rode like **** and never was happy with the car after that and sold the piece of **** instead of puttin springs back in it. P.S. the compressors draw alot of amps, 30-50 amps and an old car's electrical system can't realy support that very well. and they make annoying sounds(compressors and exahust valves)

Not tryin to be a *** or anything but sounds like your system wasnt installed right. Bags ride very nice when setup properly and quality components are used.

How was your car setup?? rear suspension setup? shocks? who installed it?

I've owned 3 bagged trucks/cars and all rode better then stock and a hell of alot better then a static drop

Some people like them, some people don't...
Like Bazooka said, maybe they werent installed correctly. I have them on my 52, no leaks, no problem with draining battery, rides great, and as far as the noise of the compressors and exhaust valves..the compressors usually only come on for a minute or so after I have parked., I also have silencers installed. Like I said, theyre not for everybody, but Im happy with mine.:)

i have done an *** of these setups and as mentioned above if its done right then it will ride great and not leak if you dont like elec compressors you can always go with an engine driven..which is what i always recomend more cfm and less noise

I have bought parts from Suicidedoors.com great stuff all of there brackets and link setups are made to last, they ship the parts out right away and you get exactly what you order. They are some Minitruckers from Indy great fabricators and real nice guys too... Stay away from Airbagit.com or any of the Aim Industry sites. You never get what you order and all there stuff is junk!!

I put bags on my '32 Ford roadster because it had a rumble seat and did not want to crawl under it to adjust the coilovers every time someone rode in the back. Turned out just fine, used bags, lines and fittings from AIR LIFT COMPANY and a compressor from Summit. Bottome line on cost was the bags were cheaper than the coilover route.

Suicide Doors has good prices, but they have been pretty slow lately. If you can support an Alliance Vendor, or just a fellow HAMBer I would go that route.

As far as bags being a h***le, its not hard to build a system with no leaks. I don't let anything leave my shop that won't sit at full lift over night. If you use nice fittings you won't have an issue. I use Parker fittings, I never use the plastic ones. Parkers are more expensive, but they are DOT approved and seal well, and very easy to use. Don't be afraid to drop $200-400 on fittings.

As far as compressors draining your battery, I hook the pressure switch up to an Ignition ON source, so they will never get power when the vehicle is off.

Attention to detail, and really thinking things out will help to build a reliable system. And as far as ride quality, that really depends on the way its installed. I've ridden in trucks that really just ****ed, and I wouldn't consider driving them, let alone owning them. But everything that leaves my shop rides excellent. I drive a bagged beater every day, and I love every minute of it.

The bag system was installed correct and it was all good quality parts. I was just unhappy with the way the car rode and the problems it had. I had 2 high end bag shops look at it and everyone I knew that had them on thier own cars and no one could fix all the leaks. I even put compresson fittings, all new lines, valves, check valves, baisicly replaced the whole system and never was able to get it right. As far as ride it had adjustable shocks all the way around and no matter the air presser it rode like dog ****. Just my 2cents. Would never think about running them again.

Man was not liein when he sad dont cheap out I have bags on mine and I am running the dakota digital ride height controller. seriously look into this product their service is on time and great they even made me a custom screen to match my dash lights! and its easily hidden! As for ride its a little tighter than with springs but handles freakin great and its not harsh just taught like a beemer or somthin set for perf doesnt float at all and corners as good as my whitewalls let it ! Air ride technologies makes a ride height controller to but i dont have any experiance with them. If you spend the bread on a RHC then you will save down the road keeps alignment correct when driven at your preset setting and saves tires!

agreed. i drive a bagged vehicle every day as well. no problems what so ever. alot cars come from the factory bagged these days. as well as buses ambulences etc. its nothing new or untested. i have had an older car sitting on bags for over a year with two shraeder valves its still in the up position.
