yeah, but it always feels good to be recognised by your fellow car-guys. I once won a 3rd place award in my cl*** at the local Pontiac show. Never mind there were only 3 cars in my cl***.....heh heh. Congrats, Jeff.
Went to a car show and 50s street dance in Baxter Springs, Kansas last Tuesday night. They gave out plaques for general categories by manufacturer of the cars.... such as Gorgeous GM, Fabulous Ford. Ours won Marvelous Mopar. http:// The plaque was a chrome finish on the front with lettering cut out by a water jet, done by a local company. Pretty neat. http:// Occasionally win.....often don't......kinda fun when you do. Your 55 looks good.....a little different than all the usual Fords & Chevs.
the only thing my 53 plymouth could win would be uglyest car or best project cause untill i get some decent cash coming in its gonna keep looking like a project.
Must be Mo-Par trophy month. Drove my 49 Plymouth in to a show in Hamond Mn. because I am too lazy to walk the 2 blocks to get to the gate. Black primer, still has Mo. mud on it from the Rust Revival. 3rd place in Street Machine 1950-1959. Only Primered car there.
Congrats! These are the kind of shows I like, where the crowd are the judges; not 4 or 5 guys who 'know' everything or have some sort of an agenda. Oh, and now you have a VERY cool trophy to ad to your humble collection. Vance
Well if your rusty Plymouth WON + spectator voting = lot of guys with mullets at the show ....hmmm deductive reasoning gone a rye !!!!! LOL
There were lots of furry mullets flapping in the breeze...and there was this wicked awsome '89 trans am with hood scoops and flames and these totally cool centerline wheels...haha
