I'm rebuilding a turbo 350 for my dads model a. I got it assembled and put the front pump in with the gasket but no o-rings on it so I could check the endplay. There isn't any endplay. I've checked everything I know to check. All of the snap rings went in the grooves with no problem. I've put the same number of clutches and steels in as I took out. I've taken it apart from the drum forward and put it back together 7 times and it is the same everytime. Nothing is jumping out at me. I made sure the input shaft fits in the output shaft. Anybody ever see this before? Any help woulld be appreciated

I had one real tight once and it took a bit of leverage to move it. If you're using your hands, it may just be tight. Are you using a dial indicator to see what's happening? Hands can lie, also.
