I have a question about my airride system. My compressor is run through a toggle switch with a circuit breaker in between. The circuit breaker just clicks and the compressor wont turn on. I by p***ed all the wiring and ran the compressor to the battery and it works, so I guess the circuit breaker is bad. The question is will the circuit breaker click when it goes bad or make no noise at all? Thanks .

If it's a circuit breaker, then it'll click when it trips. If it trips, then you've either got a breaker that's not rated for the amperage your trying to send through it, or you've got a short somewhere in your wiring. Although I could be totaly wrong. :D

you really need it ran through a relay and a pressure switch.

It has a pressure switch and I m really not sure if it is a relay or a circuit breaker, I ll find out tomorrow when I un tape everything. The system was already in the car when I got it, and had been there for about three years. Im not sure why they used a toggle switch for the compressor.

just tear it all out and put real suspension in it, thats the best solution to your problem i can come up with...

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your system and, more than likely, they'll have installation instructions.

  8. Thats really solid advice:rolleyes:,i recommend a pressure switch with a higher amperage solenoid and forget the relay/circuit breaker.(like a starter solenoid)But make sure you don't have a short in your wiring first.

What you need to do is put a pressure switch on that toggle, and use the pressure switch to turn on a high amp relay. I use 60 amp Stinger relays from the stereo shop. Pretty much fail proof.
