Like drillin for oil? Anyone know if there are repro steel ones out there in the works or available now? Seems like they are tough to find, don't really wanna go with Fibergl***, but just can't seems to find any! Any help or info would be greatly appreciated! -chris
what body style? the only steel repo fenders i am aware of are for coupe/roadster...some gut on ebay has them on there sometimes with a buy it now of $3500. i have never seen them and have no idea of the quality
that would be Danny Pascoe making them. He is making them to order and they are nice. I believe he is closer to $4000.00 a pair now
Here is Dan Pascoe's web site. You can find contact information there. http://www.creativebillet.com/
Wasn't he claiming on metal meet that he was hiring people and gear up to start repoping complete bodies? I can't imagine the demand for repo 3 window bodys. I also cant imagine the complexity in the stampings and what the final cost would be. Coupe rear fenders don't seem that complex at least not $4000 dollar's complex.
of course , the price of $4000 are for new steel coupe/roadster rear fenders....but we still don't know what body style canigo is looking for . good used repairable sedan rears go for a lot less
Thanks for the info, it is for a 3-window coupe. I'll check out Danny's website this afternoon, pricey stuff, I can't believe someone has not geared up to do repros... thanks! -chris
I have an extra 34 and a 38, that would average ot to 36 wouldn't it? sorry, sometimes I can't help myself.
if you do go with fibergl*** rear fenders , get Wescott's...they are the only ones worth using. that's what is on the rear of my 3-window. they are $380 each
you might also cotact Steves Auto Restoration. I heard that he has picked up a couple of NOS ones and is considering looking at making them after his 34 3 window coupe body and fender project is all finished and getting delivered.
This pair just brought $4300 on E-bay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...m=130235580250&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=003 Made me walk out to the garage and make sure the rear fenders were still on my '36 Three-Window. This is getting scary ! Johnnie.
I have heard that its possible to weld a strip to the mounting flange of sedan guards to make them suit a coupe. Anyone know any more about that?
I have a pair of '35 coupe fenders for sale in the cl***ifieds. I've seen the sedan fenders converted into coupe fenders. Pretty trick.
