The anglia is getting a new set of wheels, 15" solid steels. Its also a little lower now than in this pic.

Need to decide on paint colour for them.
The car is half owned by the wife and she wants to paint them green, big problem though, red interior!

Dont really want to paint them red as its a bit obvious so whats my options?

I love blue wheels on black cars but dont want to change the origional interior, its a sort of dark red.

I guess black or silver would work too, what do you think?

    Heres the car.

Yes, lime green or my personal favourite, avacado. Looks good with black, and gets lots of attention.

Really?, you think i could get away with green wheels and a red interior?

I like the orange option too, had considered it and at least its sort of in the same colour range.

A cream/tan has also been considered.

No-one likes the idea of black then?

The car will have blackwall tyres, chrome hub caps and maybe some trim rings, undecided on those.

If i can get away with different colour wheels to interior then anythings an option!

Just not sure about it, wheels and interior should match or complement dont you think?

Ok, been thinking, i guess i could live with red if it had some big heavy flake in it.

Problem is, ill be apinting these myself. I have access to spray equipment and can spray primer/base. Is it possible for an amater to get a decent flake finish?

If your 50% of the partnership wife says "Your shirt doesn't go with my dress!"
    What do you do?
    You change it.
    Right?

Ford had an "Apple Green" wheel color option (circa '30's) that has periodocally been a big favorite color for rod wheels.
Do it her way, (then maybe you can wear that favorite shirt)...

(Green always clashes with the tail lights anyway so the interior color isn't really an issue.)

I like the black. But the red isn't bad. Should it be darker? Blue too.

    thanks, looking good.

Red doesnt actually look too bad.

Were liking the red flake idea, also considering cream now.

They'll all look good really, just still unsure about red interior and green/blue etc wheels.

    So, i guess
    red
    black
    cream
    are the main options.

What ever color you want on the driver's side, she can paint the other two. Gary

  23. Run a dark blue - it will look great with a dark red interior as you mentioned you have.

Really? I do like blue, had my bug black with blue wheels.

Been thinking of a dark red flake over black base, would work equaly well with blue or green flake too.

Anyone got any pics of cars to prove wheel and interior colour dont have to match?

My personal favourite is the vanilla cream so far.But I think a pale mint green would look awesome as well. Don't have any color codes though.

I would not paint the entire car green, that would not go with the interior. However, I don't think anyone is going to see the wheels at the same time they see the interiour, unless you tend to drive with the doors open.

  29. Aegean Blue powercoat.

(Don't get confused by the back wheel/tire, it's leaning against the mag wheel/tire.)
