I sprayed 1 gallon of it thru a drywall texture sprayer. I covered from the floor to the bottom of the windows, and a little of the ceiling. It covered real well, we will see if it quiets anything down...

I have never heard of the stuff. Where to buy? How expensive? Any other details to know about? Pictures?

Its basically bedliner, but it has rubber grit in it. They say its better then Dynomat. Its $100 per gallon. But a gallon covers alot.

That's pretty expensive stuff. Lizardskin is rated the best sound deadener and the best heat barrier and it's only $84.50 per gallon for sound and $94.50 per gallon for ceramic heat/sound barrier. It only comes in 2 gallon pails but most guys will need more than 1 gallon anyway....just my 2 cents.

Here is the bed of my truck I sprayed with Durabak. Used a undercoat gun (shutz gun). It came out really well. I am happy with it.

Ya, I would definatly use a different gun if the stuff was going to be seen. But I just used a gun that I had. Its got lots of runs in the doors.

I have been following all these heat barrier/sound deadening post because I plan on doing my car in the near future. Don't you need a special gun to shoot the lizard skin? If so, that jacks the price up further. I have a drywall texture gun I could use to spray the durabake, so if it works well, I could do my car for a $100.

The drywall gun will not do a good job. The undercoat gun will do a good job.
The undercoat guns are cheap. They are $19 at Eastwoods. That is what I used on my Bed liner. It worked great, no runs, went on real nice.

i just took it for the first drive after spraying it. It really quieted it down inside. The car feels alot more solid now too. There are less rattles, and alot less road noise. Definatly worth the $100.

If you look closely, you'll see the drywall gun does not flow enough product. Lizardskin sound deadener and heat barrier can be sprayed with an inexpensive undercoating gun. They're less than $25.00 at Eastwood.

I used the gun from Eastwoods. The stuff is a mess, but worked great(can't remember the exact product I bought from Eastwoods). It looked great after it was applied and I threw the entrie get up away when I was done. Simple and neat.

  20. Looks ok and will serve its purpose, no one will see it once the interior is in. A shultz gun would have worked nicely for that product. I have been using Raptor bedliner from U-POL and it works great too.
