First a little history on the ol car.Last year around July 2 (my birthday)i was lurking around on egay and i came across this butt ugly,rusty 50 buick.With my newbie limited talent i knew i was no match for this project,nevertheless i made a smart ass coment to my wife about the carand a few moments later left with my buddies for the local pub to down a few coldies.Not rembering i left my computer on the next morning my dear wife woke my hung over ass self up all excited to let me know that she had bought me that 50 buick on ebay for my birthday. I thought what the hell, let the ride begin. So a couple weeks later, a transport company pulls up with thid beat up, rusty , pile of crap that sure looked a whole lot better on ebay then it did my driveway. Once again, my lovely bride was standing there, and in her mind it was the next Barris custom in the making; even though she was clueless to who barris was. For the next two weeks I stood around staring at this car with tears in my eyes, and figured what the hell , I couldn't get rid of it. It would have shattered her. Sorry I dont have any pics of when it pulled up in the driveway, the camera I took the pics with got wet and bit the dust. I will post some pics of what it looked like after painstakingly patching it up , and putting it back together with the originial straight 8 and dina flow. After battling the old 265 straight 8 and being dissapointed everytime I tried to drive a mile and a half down the road, I decided to pull the body off , throw a camero front clip under it and rearend do the sbc and slam it into the ground. good and bad thoughts are all appreciated.
