hi my name is chris.i am 24.i have been living in phoenix az for the past year, going to school at motorcycle mechanics institute.i am originally from kalamazoo michigan.i drive a 1964 oldsmobile dynamic 88 station wagon,3 seat fiesta.i picked it up just after i moved out here.it has a 394 and a crappy slim jim tranny.right now i am slowly working on it.i plan on a restoration this winter when i go back to michigan.it will be a father/son project.i plan on baggin it,adding a 3 carb intake with mooneyes EFI,and putting reverses with wide white walls on it.most likely a surfboard on the rack for good measure.i have grown up with cars.i was helping my dad work on them as soon as i could hold a wrench.been going to drags and shows since i was born.i plan on working in the custom motorcycle industry when i get out of school, and hope to build as many old school springer bikes as possible.i hope this does good for an introduction.

also if anyone has any parts laying around for 394's,parts for 64 dynamics go ahead and shoot me a PM.also info on putting in bags

Cool wagon. PPPLLLEEAASSEEE don't tell me those are Pep Boys hubcaps on it in the photo. I think I'd rather have a car sittin' on cinder blocks.

    Oh, WELCOME.

yes and no.the body and interior are staying stock.the only customization stuff will be suspension, engine and wheels.well right now at least .so i guess i still consider it a restoration

    Is there a difference??

Cool car. Sounds like you have a solid plan for where you're going with it. Once it is back in Michigan shouldn't you mount a snow sled to the roof though?

    Welcome Chris from another Michigander.
I really dig your car, my Dad had a '64 in the late '60s and I always loved that car. I just told him the other day I'd like to find one.
Once you get back to MI. we'll invite you out to breakfast.

  23. Welcome to the HAMB! Wagons are cool and that one has real potential! I think wide whites are too "50's" for a mid 60's car, though...not that you asked. [IMG]

Also a new guy but had to post just because of the car, I am a 64 olds nut (I have a drop top and a four door hardtop right now) but I have never managed to get my hands on the wagon. Great ride. I just shaved handles and trim on mine so if you have need of those I can send em your way. Would love to see how the interior is holding up.
    Thanks for sharing.
