Hi All This is my first post here. Here is a pic of my 33 Dodge with a 392 Hemi. I have to build the box yet and finish up the air ride. I will be adding more club members cars soon. I just got back from the Chrysler's @ Carlisle show on it's maiden voyage and it ran fine. Our club does allot of the east coast shows. I'm usually in my 62 Chrysler AKA "The Slider" Jay from Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Ballbusters CC Wilkes-Barre Chapter
Damn, that thing must have a SERIOUS power to weight ratio! I love the early 30s Mopars. I have in the works a phantom '34 Plymouth roadster pickup Plymouth never made. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=145423
Yea, serious lack of traction, especially with the bias tires. I had a set of Mickey Thompson slicks on it and same thing. No hook up. I'm starting to build the box now. I'm going extra heavy on the metal to add some weight. I can't throttle hard without the tires letting loose at any speed. Once I get some rear weight on it and hopefully get it to hook up with good tires I should see low 10's.
What front axle do you have? How about a side view. I like how it's not twenty feet long like a lot of the fenderless pickups I've seen.
Love it so far but for the love of god please tell me it's not an automatic. I actually dig that it's compact and not stretched to hell. I'm anxious to see it with the box.
Nice, looks like a lot of thought went into the build. Front tires are a bit fat IMO. Lets see some side shots.
I like the fat tires on the front. It makes it look like an oversize Go-kart, and I imagine thats what it's like to drive. Serious fun factor here. Frank
i want to see some more pics of the susp and especially that rear C notch. post em up man. looks great by the way.
Jay, looks like one hell of a ride, damn nice truck. There's a car show coming up in August 8,9,10 at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds, just a heads up. later shawn
Here are more pics, I just started on the box. Runs 180 degrees in bumper to bumper traffic. Pictures are of the air bags and box being built. I got caught in the rain coming back from Carlisle last weekend so it's not clean. The sticker on the window is a Celebrity Pick Trophy from Bill Miller owner of Carlisle Productions. Made allot of shiney car guys mad
Cool new ride Jay. Not at all like that copper colored ride you did a while back--other than the hemi. Did Schmid get his '32 done yet? I worked with his son Pete at CTCO. Can't get ahold of him. See you on the square!!
