I need someone who knows about 1960's lincolns to tell me what parts will interchance of different models. Are most of the parts the same on them? Windows, fenders, doors, ect. Anyone that can tell me anything about these cars with be very helpful. Any good sites I can check out that has the info?? Thanks in advance.

  2. They are pretty much different each year, like the Ford Galaxies. Some stuff might swap, i think mostly drivetrain and suspension. What year is yours?

I have been trying to buy a 1966 that my friend has. It is a complete car it just needs some work. Fender, p*** rear door, windsheild, seat. I have found another for parts but it is a 1963 or 64. Its all there but the qtrs and rockers, and trunk are in bad shape. All the windows, trim, insides, are all good. I was just wondering if the parts would interchange.

  5. 63-64 parts will not fit, you need parts from 66-69 Continental only. I don't know if you know or not ,but the fenders are welded on.

I will keep you in mind, I gotta try to get the car first before I need parts. Thanks

  9. Good question. You pretty much have to repair or patch the damage, The fenders, inner fenders, core support, and header panel are spot welded and molded together. Also, these are full unibody so it's all welded to the "Frame" structure. I would try to find a real nice one to start with.

  10. Buddy has a complete '67 for $1500 that isn't too bad, a little rot on the lower quarters, but fresh out of a barn and complete. Lots of lookers, no buyers, if it doesn't sell soon it's off to the junkyard - they weigh 5000 lbs, so it aught to bring $500 or so.

There is a 61 in a yard near me. It's pretty much complete and almost rust free. Tried to buy the whole car and they said sorry we only sell parts. The front wheels are off it and it has these big ole aluminum finned drums on it. I thought about getting them. Are they any good for other projects like the Buick drums?

  12. That's nutty, I had a '61 and it didn't have aluminum drums. That would be pretty cool, then at least you wouldn't have to say you had a BUICK part on your car. Yuck.
