I just got my truck running good and decided it was time for a trip up north to my hometown Watertown, SD. Its 100 miles due north. The flattie pured right along at about 65 mph. Thats fast enough with bias plys, early ford brakes and I a frame I built. Got lots of looks on the road. Got lots questions when I got there too. Like...Did you trailer it? How do drive that thing? I built it to drive and thats what I'm going to do damn it!!! The old man got his first ride as well. Then he got to drive. Thought it would look good next to his 34 ford jalopy so we took advantage of the photo op....

Looks good! I always look forward to going to Watertown, the Hot Rod Town. Will you have it at the Vintiques show this fall?

Thanks alot. Its a been fun to build. Lots of donated parts from friends, lots of borrowed parts from the old man and some stolen parts that you don't want to know... It will be in watertown in sept. I guess our car club will be on the garage tours this year at a members garage. Hoping to have all the Jalopy Kings on hand. Hoping for better weather this year...

Nice job Chris, let me know when I can go to your dad's shop and steal some things. I have had my eyes on quite a few items for quite a few years... :p Later.

Broke the rear end last weekend after about 150 miles. I keep shearing the pins in the rear pinion/driveshaft colar. Gonna have to try something different again. I'm getting to be a pro at pulling that rearend assy.
