...for the NHRA races and was looking for something to do in the evenings after the races. Are there any car shows going on or interesting places to visit?
Friday evenings right up the road in Covington there is a show at the Walmart. Not sure of the turn out I haven't been there since last summer.
There is this show Sat. I think the bands will start playing @ 1:00 pm, and the party goes on into the evening.... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=271913
There are normally quite a few cars at the Walmart in Covington. I went there once with my father-in-law, but he goes there pretty much every week.
Something to do Saturday nite: Depending on where you are staying, head up Highway 18 north to the Issaquah Hobart Road exit and head NW to Issaquah, about 10 miles or so from Pacific Raceways. Go until you get to the Darigold plant and take a right at the light to the Triple X Drive In restaurant. Informal cruise in from early afternoon to dark or so. Always some cool rides.
Lance Lambert (local car show guy) is going to be filming at Covington this Friday. I would expect maybe 3-400 cars. On a nice friday they will get 200-240. Hotroddder
just up the road in Covington (one exit north of the race track is a cruise night on friday, decent turn out. if you go north of the track on HWY 18, get off at Convington, turn right, go up two (maybe three lights) and turn left, there is a Walmart about a block off (can not be seen from main road). goes from about 4:30 to around 7pm.. (you can ask anyone once off the freeway where WalMart is and they will know or follow the old cars.. I will be up there, a few nice HAMB friendly cars Uncle buck, there is normally about 40 to 60 cars on a average night this summer (I counted 82 one night)
I was more aiming towards the smart*** type of comment refering to their parking lots are always full of customer cars - but held myself back
