My 49 Merc is 6 volts and the electric fuel pump took a dump. I was going to buy another at the local shop but decided I might as well convert to 12 volts. I have all the parts including an EZ wire harness. I got all the parts together getting ready to do the job. I took a look at the wire harness and couldn't understand it. It might as well be in Japanese. (Yes, i am a little slow and retarded)

So I was wondering if anyone here recommends someone around Orange County, Ca who could do it. Seeing as this is my dream car i want to do everything right. Not like my old other cars or else i would do it myself. Any info would be appreciative.

By the way i still have the original flathead. I got a rebuilt 12volt generator, solenoid, volt reg, 12v fuel pump, 12v battery, new coil and ez wire harness. I'm not trying to go crazy with wiring, just the basics (headlights, tail lights, dash lights and motor).

Call Circle City Hot Rods in Orange and talk to Jimmy. He has a buddy working for him, "Skinny Jeff" that really knows his stuff. They might have time to do it.

If only someone would invent a book that had everyones phone number listed in it. That would be cool. They could alphabetize it and make it easy to look things up. Then they could possibly put the same information on the internet, so you could look things up there too. That would be cool. Oh well, I guess I am just day dreaming, you can't have everything.

In case anyone was wondering, I was trying to be funny, not malicious. Humor and sarcasm doesn't always come off in print.

  8. About 12 years ago I bought a "Hot Rod Phonebook" or some **** like that...half the companies listed in it are out of business today. I guess that the good thing about the internet, you can find anything.

Good luck on the rewire, Jimmy and his guys are top notch.
