Good god! Love the vintage style!

  4. Not at all.

My "day job" is being a digital painter / colorist for Marvel and DC comics.

And since I've been slammed lately with comic work, I haven't had any time to do the "fun stuff" that I'd normally post on here.

Ger, that piece kicks ass bro!

    Hey Rob,
One of my best friends does comics, Rick Remender. I also know Kieron Dwyer. Both worked on tons of stuff for Marvel, Dc, and some other companies I don't remember. Definitely check out Ricks site, he's hilarious!

    Here is something I did.

  14. Yeah, tell Kieron I said hey.

Here's some quick ones to give others out there an idea about what my "day job" working in comics entails.
Pencils shown below are the "before", and usually drawn by somebody else, and the after is me, when I do all the digital painting and coloring....

Here's one where I did the pencils myself and then digitally painted it...

Sorry... hope I didn't just hi-jack the art thread.

robschwager, That is amazing. What programs are you using to paint with? Mac? And are you using a Stylus or Wacom tablet? Pacheco and I are huge comic fans.

    Damn!

Once upon a time I wanted to be a comic artist.

I am waaaaay to slow for the industry however - I am far too picky.

    Gary,
I'd love to take credit for that, but I was just responding to Mr. schwager's stunning color work. That was my first attempt at responing at the end while including the artwork. Sorry I wasn't clear!

Some of my work. This is all etched into glass, picture frames to be exact. Most of them are 16" x 20". I'm no Guiseart, but I think I do OK. <br>
