What has become a close family friend is about to go to her rightful owner for the summer. However before that happened, she needed a little tlc.. Mills and Co. E-Brake kit, modified to work with this ap., I'll have to resize some pictures of what we did underneath Then we mocked it up with hood sides, this is only a mock up....the gaps ****...this IS a mock up With the top and hood it really has become refined on the outside, but on the inside she has truely found her adulthoood, the emergancy brake, proper working fan and seatbelts,... She's becoming a woman! And she's off to life as we all know it, hopefully first experiancing life alone on the salt and then heading for the mountains....
As always, nice work. That E-brake set up is new to me. Looks like something I might be able to use in my Model T sedan project. Any info you can share?
Nice work Matt, Lots of great details through out. I think that's the first time I've seen her with top on. Gives it a much different look.
I wouldn't mind looking at that roadster all day. I took my own picts of this beaut at the LA Roadster meet a few years back. Nice additions.
Looks good Matt, nice job on the photos too. I'll try to get the hood sides to you at the end of next week . Pat
The e-brake kit is from www.millscustoms.com The handle is stock 32 ford and we made the cover and the mounts here in the shop. The alum. bit is just a cover there is no tension put on the cover. There are four ten gauge strips welded to the tunnel that take all the tugging... [/IMG] [/IMG] [/IMG] And here is the new fan ***embly, based on a 36 ford fan but built to withstand high rpms and uses a more modern blade [/IMG]
Matt, As usual your dad and yourself have done a spectacular job making a mundane part look like something off a cl***ic car. I'm sure that the owner will experience many years of hot rodding thanks to the care and skill you've put into it. You've set the bar pretty high on this one and I'm sure there are even better ones waiting in the wings. So, when do we get to see the next Ionia home run? Whenever it is be sure to take us along for the ride. Frank
Outstanding work from your shop as always! My buddy, Don C. from East Coast Chevy told me he did the louver work on that build, One of the top metalmen in the Country!
