Both happening on the same day. Quite the conundrum.

Which will be a better time?

Moldy's does have the Daisy Dukes contest... hmmm??

If I was in CA I'd go to Moldys

  3. And by Moldy's, you are referring to the Rat Fink Party?

alot of people might not put that together.

  4. Why not go to both?

Yeah, I know, but some may recognize it by the Rat Fink. It's still sponsored in part by RF though.

Hmmm... 100 degrees (in the shade, if there is any!) or 80 something

The heat will certainly not help the ride out to the desert

I'm not knockingit, but out here in the desert its hot. Was 118 here at work and could bearly keep the chillers running. Not sure why we schedule shows in the summer. We would get even more folks out here if we did them when its colder in the other areas. I mean our sept -nov even dec can be nice. But hey hot is hot.........................

Where in the heck is Pearblossom CA?

  12. Its on highway 138. Between Palmdale and Phelan/Wrightwood.
you can take the 15 to 138 or the 14 to 138, depending on what end of so cal you are on.

Moldy's party goes on into the night, so if you are worried about heat, come about 5 or 6. Its still hot but it will get nice quickly. You can spend the night ,too, in case you enjoy one drink too many..

That part is gonna be REAL interesting.

But if you survive the night, El Mirage is 10 minutes or so away, if you wanted to check it out. they will be charging to get on the lake in October, so if you want to go while its still free..

  13. How much are they gonna charge, and which they will the money go to?

    Thanks,
    Kurt

  14. Its going to be 10 or 15 bucks a car or you can buy a season p*** for $90? Not sure of the prices, but it is going to the BLM, or state.

It will hopefully keep some of the people out that come in during the week, or after it rains and ruin the lakebed. I don't mind paying if it makes things better overall. I know some SCTA guys are annoyed because they already pay the SCTA fees to race, now another $90 or so..

    Well Howdy,

Damn.... I got no choice but to be at my own show!!! ha....

As far as the heat at least it's dry.... I remember in 2002 doing the show down in Canoga Park, it was 103 out and about 80% humidity Arrrgg. now that really ****ed!

But anyway it hasn't been ,much hotter out this way as it has in the Valley the last couple of weeks and the night time up here is great!

The show hours are from 3:00pm-10:00pm.. Of course if'in yer bringin' yer rid ya should try to get in earlier... but if'in ya show up late we'll get ya in... there's gonna be a full moon out that night and we got a really great line up for entertainment...

Check out the web site for more information, maps and a schedule of events..... junk like that...

Sunday's cruise out to El Mirage is gonna be the icing on the cake...

    Here's the web addy....

    Howdy,

I just got back from the Show grounds folks are already there camping out.. Pretty much got everything set up this evening for tomorrows event.. really nice out.

The show goes until 10:00pm and you can camp if you like...

So for you folks that are considering on going to both events. We will be accommodating late comers with their pre 73 rides after the 2:00pm registration cut off .. If the gate is closed go ahead and park in front of the gate.. then go to the ticket booth around the corner and ask for ***istance and we will have our Staff ****** you into the show grounds!

Obviously the cruize to El Mirage on Sunday has been changed, the lake got hammered last weekend and is still wet.. We will be hosting the Cruize on Sept. 14th.

There will be a vote tomorrow at the show for this Sundays cruize for either Wrightwood or Devils Punchbowl.
