ubolt and spring set up on a roadster

  1. Gday Guys
Im setting up my repro A ch***is and Im fitting the spring up inside the front c memmber - pretty sloppy! The spring fills up around half the space inside the crossmember at the centre and so when the uboplt and plate are in place there's space inside. The cmember's a repro A and is 2"deep at the centre. The multi leaf spring is 1.5 " in the middle. Do I put a 1/2" spacer in there to take up the slack? Dumb question but I'm working in a vacuum here.

    Thanks

Sure! If you put the spacer on the top it raise the car a bit so put it on the bottom.Make sure you drill it and put your centerbolt through everything.
