Anybody ordered from them? I am thinking about going with some spotlights and lake pipes I just wanted to get some reviews on their service.
Yep, I've had good service from Gary, and I'm on the other side of the Pacific! In fact, I just got some beauty rings from him, they arrived in four days (normally takes 6-7 to New Zealand) and they were top quality.
I had a problem with a part missing from a box,and he told me to send it back and gave me a new one,NO questions asked!
Thanks for the fast responses. I finally got my 53 Bel Air running & idling today so I want to do some work on it now. They have a lot of good stuff in their catalog.
I have to say...make sure you know what you want before ordering anything. It ****s when you expect one thing and get another. The quality of what he sells is really good though. Where are you in central Cal? There's many stores that carry alot of the stuff he sells. Give JimA a PM before you order. He has alot of stuff and gives a discount to HAMBers,I think.
That's only a pigs trot from here! There's more than one place to get what you want down here. SoCal Speed Shop,Reids Rod Shop,in Orange,SoCal LA,Mooneyes, take your pic! Might be cheaper than shipping! Well, maybe not with the price of gas,HA HA HA!
I ordered a repop suicide knob from them a couple of years ago, and it snapped off the first time I tried to turn the wheel with it. I returned it for a refund, but never heard a word back from them. Just my one experience.
If you don't find what you need local you won't go wrong with Gary and the crew. Scores all As in my book.
I don't travel much b/c my daily driver at the moment takes $120 (stupid trailblazer) to fill her up. Thats why I order everything online, don't like making trips down south or up north. We used to have Vintage Tin & Speed but Rick (from Loco Banditos) turned it into a skate board shop for his son.
I sell much of the same stuff they do. I've also dealt with them many times. Super people. As for those suicide knobs, I wouldn't use them for anything other than a decoration.
Gary is good people. He supports what he sells. It's not just a business for him, it's a lifestyle. He IS kustom. Reverend Jake
Sorry for the slight hi jack. How is Gary doing? I recall a while back there was a post about him not feeling well, is he recovered now?
Many of the parts used on 57 Olds came from Gary. Excellent service and high quality parts. Prices are both fair and reasonable, better than others that I have dealt with.
I'm with Rockabillyb***man on this. I also live in New Zealand and have purchased from Night Prowlers several times. I usually just ring him early in the morning (late afternoon for him) and have always found him friendly and willing to help. Always prompt delivery. Will use again for sure.
Gary went into the business because he couldn't find lakes pipes. So he and a friend made some. It grew from there. Gary and Molly are a couple of the best people you'll find, and they absolutely love traditional rods and customs.
Here's an IMPORTANT tip though...remember to put"the" before nightprowlers.com,when looking for their website! Otherwise you'll get a **** site!!!
