Came across these and scanned them, not the best quality. San Diego 74' or 75'. This car was rock solid with no cancer , that's primer in the pics. Had an early 265 chevy V8 with a sixpack manifold and manual ******, but still had original steering and knee shocks for suspension. Original mohair interior. Best of all I bought it for 700 dollars! Just about then the surfer van craze and van clubs happened and I HAD to have one. Traded this PLUS cash for a 64 ford van. Knew I made a mistake when I saw it drive off, WHAT A ****. Don't regret the fun times I had in the back of the van, but sure wish I still had this coupe. Last pic is what I'm building now, AHH memories.
You ought to try to find that car now or build one just like it, be a hell of an ending for a heck of a memory
Ha, no picks of the van, that's long gone too. Sure had the 70's look when I was done with it. Jacked up in the back, big whip antenna, metallic red paint, brown **** carpet with bed and fridge. Respect the van baby, Ha.
Ha, naw no thanks. I'm a slow learner but it's been enough years to figure out sometimes I'm a dumb ***.
Looks like you were always working on it!!! VERY cool car, hope it's still out there somewhere today!!!
Funny, I was just looking at this on craigslist, and though of this post. Drew http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/car/756547271.html
So, have you gotten any smarter since then? I think we all have stories of "the ones that got away." Great pics and a much cooler car than most of us had at such a tender age.
I smell smoke, the tires are 8.20 X 15 in rear and 500/5.25 x 16's in front. 38chev, your coupe looks awesome! G***er Freak, I've seen that chevy on craigslist also, if it was a 38 I might have looked at it but I can't afford another project just yet. To those that asked, I'm a little bit smarter, I'm working my way up to sharpest tool in the shed, HA thanks all.
