by the way, how are your hands? If I did that, my fingers would look like bad breakfast sausages.

 

Sitting & have a hot ball of br*** go to parts we'll not name, through "protective" clothing. Or at the young age of 12-13 getting stick welding slag in your eye under "safety" gl***es. Ya I can still see!

These are all really great, but I'm focusing in on the ones where you can tell it's a hot rod frame that's being welded on. The welding shots are great, I'll probably be able to use them somewhere else (it's starting to look like I may have to give out multiple prizes!) but for the home page I really want it to be obvious that it's a hot rod frame or part you're working on.

I was thinking the same thing....I like Chad's shorts.....how was that sunburn? I wear a jacket to protect my ink too.

OK, we've changed up the photo sharing deal a bit... instead of me trying to paraphrase what I already wrote, here's the details:

• We&#8217;re randomly giving away one $50 Welder Series gift certificate every month. To enter the draw, send us one or more pictures of Welder Series parts being ***embled, installed, or used. Pictures of our parts sitting on your bench don&#8217;t count.
• When we receive the picture(s), we&#8217;ll add your email address to a list of entries for the current month, as well as the next month. You have two chances to be chosen! For example, if you send pictures in October, you will be entered in the October draw and the November draw, but not the December draw (unless you send pictures of different parts in December).
• The &#8220;winner&#8221; will be chosen by a random number generator at www.random.org.
• You can&#8217;t win two months in a row unless you send pictures of a different part during the next month. Please don&#8217;t send the same picture twice.
• We can use the pictures you send anywhere on our site or in promotional material.
• Sending more than one picture does not give you multiple entries in the draw.
• The winner will receive a credit of $50 on their account at Welder Series. No cash value.
• The draw will take place on the first business day of the following month. For example, the September draw will take place on October 1st (a Friday).
• The &#8220;winner&#8221; will be notified via email and in our newsletter.

Nice promotion, really. No pitch or BS, just a fun thread for everybody to see and participate in. Anti-spam IMO, from really nice folks.

But my old shop teacher would be smacking you guys without gloves and sleeves! Getting older is much more fun without skin cancer.

 

I know the picture I like isn't the best quality , but I am for the 9 year old boy welding up a tank ! Now that is worth a thousand works right there . That is the very young welding to keep our lifestyle going !
Now as for not wearing arm guards and gloves , well I guess I am a ***** too ! That feeling of a hot molten piece of burning metal going down through my skin to the bone until it cools off just isn't for me ! I always wear my arm guards and gloves and I usually wear a welding jacket too if I am welding overhead ! I just don't like that feeling of burning metal on my skin !
