I am looking for someone who has researched what front and rear seat out of a more modern car will fit good in a 50-53 buick. Looking to do leather or vinyl, modern conveniences and what not for the long trips and so I can strap a car seat in, I know not very cool, I don't want to put the aftermarket lapbelts in, so I'll keep the original seats and put them back in when the baby is old enough to drive it..LOL. I know it is as easy as measuring and digging through the junkyard, just thought I would save some legwork. Anybody do it recently and what did you use? Pics and model, make, year appreciated.
I have late model Buick (I think '02 or 03) mid size 60/40 front seats in my '51 Pontiac Tin Woody wagon. I think they're a perfect fit, center armrest, power drivers side, very comfortable and they look nice in the car. Used the original outer seat mount holes in the floor even. Paid 60 or 80 bucks. My 48 Pontiac convert has seats from the '94 Caddy Fleetwood Bro. donormobile. I just threw them in 5 years ago when I rebuilt the car, thinking I'd get the originals reupholstered right away, but I like them. Heated cushions and backs (great in a convertible!), power recliners, leather, comfortable, and free. Go to a salvage yard, take a tape measure and start shopping. It's a cheap way to upholster your Buick. Just try to get something you can match material to (if you're not planning on reupholstering them) so your interior will match. Brian
try to find some 93-96 buick roadmaster seats.front will mount easy, rear should fit without much trouble.if the rear does not you could get a upholstery shop to modify the covers to your orginal seats.
