I am taking a real mother of all road trips this year, and including the HAMB drags in on the action. My writer friend, a bartending brother from another mother is my co-pilot. Our steed is my 57' Pontiac Laurentian. We are leaving from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and hitting the drags on the way to the west coast. Its going to be hard to top the HAMB drags but we will try. From there its Vegas for a few days, then we want to hit California in a big way. Here lies the rub... We flipped a coin to see the east coast/west coast side of the trip and west side won. I don't know anyone out on the west coast, so I don't know anyone we could meet up with for a drink, to hear where the best places are or anything like that.... Anyone up for a meetup/greetup out there? How about cool automotive meets? We will be out there the last week in August. Our schedule is completely open, but we would like to make the beach, and I have family in San Jose that I am supposed to see (anyone like the Sharks?). Maybe hitup norther texas on our way back? Anyone up for it?
