Hey guys...thought I would post a couple before and after photos of my car. I've only had the car about two and a half months (got it 4/28/04) and this is my first car...so be easy on me! I also threw in a scan of the original bill of sale from 1950 that I found in the glove box!

  2. They gave him $600 for his trade-in for an 9 year old 4 door?

That's what they give you NOW for an 11 year old car.

I need to finish mine [IMG]

Looks good ! It looks just like the one I picked up. I'm about 3 weeks into it. It's my first project too. What all did you have to do to it?

Very nice! Congratulations from someone who'd be very envious to own your car. [IMG]

I've cleaned it up more than anything...there were (literally) two squirrels living in the car, there were lichens growing on the rear quarters and trunk and all the chrome was in the back seat when I got it! I've done a couple things like rebuilding the carb, rebuilding the brakes, putting on headers and dual exhaust on it, painted it (inside & out), new tires and I'm gonna put lake pipes on it this weekend. In the next month or so I plan on lowering it and rewiring it (switching to 12v). It's still a work in progress!

I'd say the dealers have changed, too.

It looks like he was able to get around 1/3 of the original purchase price for HIS 11 year old car back then.
    Now, I DOUBT IT.

Oh, sorry, the car looks great, man.

Heads up. Early 60's Ford Generators fit right in the stock generator mount. That's how I converted mine to 12v. Looks pretty much exactly the same.

Very nice job for 2 months of work.

Well, it's the '41 model year, so it was probably purchased in '40, and the bill of sale is in November of 1950, so that's just about 11, er...um....DAMN IT! [IMG]
