Hey you , quiet in the cheap seats, he was invited and declined, the same as you!! But there is still time... any more takers?? We had one more invitation accepted this week...and now there are six .
I reckon the Olds would be good for a couple of laps of the carpark if nothing else. With any luck the Nomad will still be there too.... we could thrash it ...ahh um test it , as we did the roadster before he saw it...

Thanks for the good luck wishes! Hey are we gonna catch up? I'm in the USA until October 14th.....

    Noddy

P.S Grant is a good *******. But he isn't coming to Reno or Speedweek - just helping us with some prep work and giving us some beds to sleep in when we are in LA. I think he wants to party... :D And ANYTHING is perfect with beer!

Let me put the offer out there, if you and the crew want to come to Detroit at any point during your visit to the States, I've got plenty of room at the house for guests.

  9. wow, sounds cool. A hot rod in 24 hours I can see, but a hot rod in 24 hours built to SCTA specs and able to make a p*** on the salt hmm, I will believe when I see it. good luck guys.

  10. The hot rod is gonna be built in 24 hours, not built to SCTA specs in 24 hours. That will come after.

Just to clarify something - we will be building the car to make it driveable within 24 hours. We then have 5 days to get it ready for Speedweek...I have to say, Mike Waters and Mike Spacek of the BNI along with Kiwi Steve have been terrific to deal with.... A ton of planning has gone into this project.

    See you on the salt!

  12. If there was ever a swap meet to go to to unload some parts... this would be the one!

I love what you guys are doing... and can't wait to see it unfold!

Thanks Denise.... But have you ever invited a Kiwi to stay at your house before? Be warned.... we are nocturnal! :D

Thanks Sam! We can't wait to see it unfold either.... anything could happen and it probably will. As long as the team don't kill each other along the way....:D

We've just had our team number and entry confirmed for Speedweek - "Kiwi Hot Rod Challenge Team" and race car number 6942... Think about it...

We will have fun! This is really just a big vaction for us all - the trip of a life time. You really don't appreciate what it is like for us living down here in NZ. Don't get me wrong, this place is paradise and we have a pretty healthy car scene, but the USA is Nirvana for us and this is like a deam come true... we touch down next Friday in LA.

That would be a feat. I haven't met a ******* that can rebuild a carb, than tune it on the engine w/i 24hrs, I don't care if you are buying all new parts.

Oh my God Denise. Are you nuts?

Do you realize how long these people can stay awake and drink in one stretch? Do you know how much partying, fun, and laughter can come out of poor oppressed folks? Girl you have no clue as to how many chocolate chip cookies they can eat.

Your face will hurt from laughter and pain will be for for weeks. Laughing with and at them, yourself, and others. You have no clue what you are up against here. Very dangerous fun at its finest.

You had better either re-think this offer or schedule at least three days of vacation to recoup after they leave. If they leave. We had a fine young one show up to only work for two races with us and he stayed for two years!

Once woke up to find one Kiwi and one Aussie sleeping in my front yard literaly on top of thier suitcases so pissed up they weren't sure it was the right place. So they just finished the beer they had and went to sleep to figure it out in the morning.

These people are PROFESSIONALS! If they can travel out of thier home country they are of partying cult stature. Thier ampliers definitly go to 11. Be careful! Be very careful. Or take lots of vitamins, get plenty of rest before hand and start training immediately!

Beach, looking at being out west during some of that time. Will know more later on in August. It all depends on where my next employment ends up being.

Interviewing and plowing resumes out all over the place now.

    Will keep you posted.

The Kiwis is our national bird. It is nocturnal. The tyical Kiwi has a long pecker and eats, roots and leaves.... figure that one out!

My 16 year old daughter can tune check, remove , rebuild, and replace a 600VS Holley on a SBC in 3 hours, and complete the full tune up in another one to two , so I can only ***ume you wanted a ******* to do the job.
BTW that rebuild is a rebuild not just a gasket kit...

Roxy is lucky to have a Dad like you to school her up on the important things on life. Most girls had Barbies to play with - she had Holleys!

Hey bud - shouldn't you be packing your bags? Your plane leaves today!

Have a safe trip and we'll see you at LAX on Friday....
