We will be having a Pre-Party Friday, which will start somewhere around 5-ish....or earlier. There were allot of folks at the Motels early on Friday.
Excellent - missed this years but will make the hike over next year, not sure in what but will be there
This is really the Bar's name ! Where - No Where? 8970 SW 27th Ave. Ocala, FL 34476 352-237-7970 its about 6 miles north of the Garlits Museum. There are pool tables, darts, horseshoe pit, a big bar and outdoor seating.

Room booked, March can't get here fast enough, hopefully this year the car won't die Wednesday before the show.
If you plan on being a spectator, get there early... like in "Dark o'clock alarm, grab an Egg McMuffin on the way, no leisurely breakfast at Cracker Barrel" early. The people who got there after 11 were having to do some creative, semi-legal parking.
The pre-party was great... walking around the lot with a cold beer in hand, talking to people I've met here... like the calm before the hurricane... The next day was like a Category 5 blur.
Does that mean that they're going to be a bit more selective on the cars that are allowed in this time???
I'm planning on moving down to Tampa (hopefully in time for the show). I am glad that this show is doing so well with all of the negative talk I hear about Florida and hot rods, makes me almost think that there might be some down there...at least when I move down there will be a few more.
All the Florida bashing is just bunk...Yeah we have our share of clowns building goofy ****, and people that think it's all about rat rodz...but no more than anywhere else. Everytime someone used to post some turd off of ebay that was from Florida, everyone made a big joke out of it...If the car was from somewhere else, we got "That car must have been built in Florida yuk-yuk!" So no matter where the ****-rod or '89 T-bird/shoebox was from...Florida always got dragged into it. Just look at this years Billetproof Fl coverage...And I know of TONS of cool hot rods that didn't make the show this year.
There was no relaxation of the kinds of cars that were let in last time. We've been over this issue. End of discussion. On the pre-registration issue.... There is a limited amount of space at the venue. There will be a limited amount of cars let in. Cars that have pre-registered will get in for sure, others may not.
If the show will be as crowded as we think, I think it would be a good idea to have the traditional police out in force. They could decide who comes in and who is turned away. Fer instance, "that voltage regulator was manufactured after 1962, beat it, Ragtime."
Had prior commitment last year and could only attend the pre-party but I won't miss it this year. Let's hope the weather is better this time too. Will mini bikes be allowed?
All I have is a Big Uns 2009 calender, I haven't noticed if there are any numbers on it yet to mark the date. Hope I make it there!
nope.. still hammering out some details with Big Daddy. all is well, just some details to make the show better.
I can't wait to see everyone again that I met last year. Oh yeah the trophy i am putting together is going to be cool.
