Event Coverage KKOA Lead Sled random photos

  1. Man that 55 just blows me away...that car is perfect

  2. I had a great time, wish I could have stayed longer. My daughter was getting sweaty and it was nap time too (mine more than hers.) Over 700 cars, bunches of nice customs. Good to meet some more HAMBers and thanks for posting the photos.

Thank you to NoSurf (Jay) for inviting me and Mrs. Povertyflats to dinner Sat. night along with the others in attendance. First one is a photo I took of Mrs. Nosurf (the lovely Angela) and their 2 beautiful daughters Amelia and Sophia. Next 2 are group shots of the other Hambers including some members of the Omaha gang, Denise and Megan, couple of cool guys from Denver, Cal and Uncle John from IA and the Beemer family from here.

The ever popular Paul LeMat of American Graffiti one on hand once again to sign autographs and visit. Next to him was Hamber "Milner" and his yellow coupe which is dead on perfect.

Thanks for posting those photos of the yellow coupe Dick. I am mad because I never did find you or your car. I only saw you when you left the park and I saw you drive away. I said "Look! There goes one of those South Omaha Turds!"

I'll add the few I snapped had grandpa and the kids with they had a blast. It's the first time I've been to the KKOA it is a great show. Almost all under trees which is odd for Kansas.

Went for the first time on Saturday and had a great time.
Thanks all for posting the great pictures

  16. When a historical car, like the Berardini Brothers 404 is restored to take to Pebble Beach, there is no such thing as OVER restored.

Dave Crouse and the guys at Custom Auto rebuilt the car for Roger and they won the Dean Bachelor award at Pebble Beach, no small feat. I drooled over the roadster the whole time it was in Dave's shop.

I see Dave's '29 AV8 with the Scot blown Flattie in a couple of pics, get a good look at that bitchin' little Roadster. Talk about a period car..........

    Johnnie.

Your probably right.Any automobile at Pebble Beach should'nt look like it just came off the track.Had the car never been raced it would be a perfect rendition of what was.

My point on the 404,I'd rather see a preservation than a restoration.

Povertyflats, JimA, thanks for the kind words on the 55. Also, thanks to BobBleed and John Joyo for the elbow grease getting it to Salina. Awesome show!

Gary Howard was there with the Jimmy Vaughn 54 Ford. Also have some close ups of the 404 car signage explaining the car's history to those who don't already know.

Thanks Tom, here are some photos of the 57 cruiser owned by Mrs. Povertyflats. We bought it last fall right out the Hamb classifieds.
