    Guys,

Honestly I didnt know about this model till recently.
Called a guy for a 39' coupe and he's now tryng to sell me this one.
    Asking price $2000.

He might sell it for less than 2K. Hes going back North to his city where he brought the car from an he has no place to store it. Im actually thinking about buying it for making some $$ for my project.

Actually for $2k it doesn't look too bad. Looks like most of the sheet metal is there and in fair shape. Could be a damn nice project. Would require a fair piece of work to turn it in to a trad rod, but could make a nice one. I have seen others in a helluva lot worse shape than that one.

Might be demographics, but if it was close to me (based on your pics), pretty sure I'd be all over it. :)

Looks like a fair car for that money. I know a lot of old cars in Argentina are well used based on the ones that have been exported up here over the years. Note the 1930 radiator shell, check to see if the roof bows and brackets are with the car. If it was up here for that money it would quickly.

I've had too much experience with cars like that (my first '32- I wanted one so badly I wasted a ton of money on it- sold it for s**** rate). I can tell from the pictures that what's left of that body is being held together by the paint. It's suffered a bunch of bad body work and once you strip it would need more bodywork than the average guy is willing to do- every part is rusted out. Keep looking- seems to be a great supply down there of much better values from the cars you have shown.

Look at the back corners and that's what it looked like around the WHOLE CAR under the paint. The bottoms of the cowl, doors and quarters have been replaces- and not that well- they don't fit. That's a "yard car" made to look good in someones yard- and now it's gone to hell again.

Thanks Jim. Last thing I want at this moment is to loose money. Even if it was my dream car model. Gotta focus on the Tudor project and keep looking for a good 34' coupe body ;)

Good plan- that's a big mess under the paint. Hate to see you stuck with it.

The car definitely needs some work, but the seller might let it go for less. Test the water and see if he'll do a little negotiating. It doesn't hurt to ask. I've seen cars like this sell for a lot more and a little less.

In any case, buy it if you like it and don't look back. That's my creed.

Honestly, I dont like it at all. I thought I could make some extra money out of it but I guess Jim is right. The guy itself has been around here in BA for a month or so trying to sell it with no luck. There must be a reason for that.

A friend o' mine sold a sport coupe in really bad shape for $3000
last year. Some people (***holes) have the skills to sell dead horses for lots of money, Im not a car seller nor a cheater, dont wanna get stuck with this white elephant for months, no headaches for now.....

    Thanks Rio

of course you know what something is worth up here MAY be different from what it worth down there. the amounts you state...is that US dollars? or your currency? what is your currency?

you have been posting a lot of pic\'s of cars down there lately..are old cars just lining the streets there?

No cars lining the streets, this is not Cuba. Almost as hard to find as in the US.
Prices I post are in US dollars
