One of the problems with the recent explosion in popularity of our scene is that it attracts the wanabe dickhead hero's. That guy's obviously too good for the rest of us. He'll probably move on to the next fad soon enough, in the meantime, hope he breaks down in the rain!

  4. We all have the same thing in common...the love of cars. I wonder some times why that isn't enough. Never could understand why some guys have to always think they are better the others...

Then the ass hole starts up a small gen. up so he can blast the stereo i tell him to turn it down some he gives me a look and doses it as soon as i sit down with my wife the dick turns it up again i tell him to knock it off and he turns it up more .
So i get up and open my tool box get out the wire cutters and chopped the fuckin wires of his gen. then i tell him the nexed thing i cut off will be his balls!!!!
The next week i take my pro steet show winning truck to the old dazes drags and beat the shit out of it 13.20 not fast enough pull the engine put in a stroker smblk nos street slicks 10.34 and had a blast with it then a 7 sec fed now a funny car.

if you like your car, that's all that matters. Thats what this whole thing is about.

I thought these forums were just for tech and info..."and next up on Dr. Phil, A whiney HAMBer who doesn't understand why the other kids don't like his car. He's even gone so far as to start a thread on his hokey ass message board. What will he do next?"

Grow a pair. Go enjoy your car instead of explaining why you enjoy it.

takes all kinds.just like the "only steel is real" elitist assholes, the "no billet or shine" assholes, etc.why do people have to cling to any fad,and look down their noses at anything that isnt "how i'd do it"?i hope those types all have to suffer the 70's retro-rod fads return soon just to be able to fit in and be cool.

Hindsight being 20/20, the correct answer coulda been, "Oh I'm sorry, I thought YOU built it...my mistake."

arsehole seems to be a universal language doesn't it.

I love the ones that give you curry when you politely ask them to stop leaning/sitting/playing with your car.

the small town i live in had a small car show this weekend , maybe 40 cars total. i've been kicking around the idea of putting a TPI setup in my wagon and thought i'd chat with a few people who have done the swap . there were 4 small block TPI cars there (ones that didnt originally have TPI) , of the 4 , 3 didnt do the work or bought the car that way , the 4th i didnt find the owner .

Freind and I took our TRADITONAL Hotrods to a local show last fall. He had built a 28 Ford Roadster pickup all from scratch and it actually looked good....sheetmetal was a little rough but who cared. A guy came up to him and asked him if it was his and he stated that it was and the guy asked him how much intelligience does it take to built something that looked like this  WRONG question.......needless to say the conversation ended abruptly.

Had a guy physically get in my face at a show in the early 90's because I won a trophy for my 41 Chevy (no hood, no glass, rattle can primer job) for the unfinished class. He had a glass 32 that was a credit card order. He pushed me twice before I hit him, but when he woke up, I left the trophy laying by him. Guess he got what he wanted. That was my last show. Hell, I could care less about the trophy, I just went cause all my buddies were goin....

I like the story of Ed Iskederians 27 roadster being denied entry to a car show because it didn't meet the fit and finish requirements.

You can encounter assholes anywhere, be it "foose rimed guys" or "traditional guys". I think you will find more nice guys than rude.
