56 lincoln premier

    Does anyone on know if a 68 lincoln 460 will bolt in place of a 368 in a 56 lincoln premier? thanks

    i've never tried it,but i don't think that's a "bolt-in" swap ;)

    i dont know but i wouldnt think so but if that y block that came in your 56 has allumin valve covers u dont want let me know

    I used to have a 56 Premiere. I took the trans out to put into a friends car and was on the fence about getting the trans done or going that route...also had a 77 Lincoln with a runnig drivetrain. I eyeballed it and it didnt seem like a terrible swap but I have no clue if it would be "bolt in". I will say though if the mounts are anything like the SBF early mounts with a stud comin down off the rubber it shouldnt be terrible to do some trmming to get it shoehorned in there.
