It's just Too Frickin' Hot here in Okla. at 2 pm. to get much done. I decided to knock off till 8ish. the fleetline is coming along. Hope to have the exhaust installed within a couple of days, then it's time to light it up! another 30 days and should be driving it! Will not have any interior since it has put me in the poor house to reach this point!
You want hot??? You should have been in Salina, Kansas last weekend. 100 degrees each day, no breeze and 100 percent humidity. I think it was the hottest I've ever been in my life, much hotter and sticker then the desert or the salt flats........I had a GREAT time though
I hear ya, it was 100 degree yesterday here in Austin, really discourages you from working on your car, even in the garage, not use to it anymore, back in deep South Texas 110 degree summer heat was not uncommon back in the day, but as you get older there is no point in putting yourself through that.... so compared to south texas yesterday was a "warm" day
103 here in Abilene with no shop. I am working under a Pecan tree, either get it done early or wait untill dark under the lights. Of course then the bugs come out.
Spent all weekend at the dragstrip here in Virginia and it only took 90 degrees to give me another round of sun burn. One of these days I'll remember the SPF 30. -Lee Atomic Radio www.atomicpinup.com
85 here next to Pasadena, SoCal. We don't know anything about much humidity here. If it were to get up to 35%, people would be shooting at each other on the freeways. Wait, I better find another example....
Damn nice in Ventura right now. 75-80 degrees with a gentle ocean breeze. Sun's shining, you know, the usual
Bakersfield has been about 100+ daily. Less than 50% humidity. Still hot AS all hell though. It's bad here cause heat=black widows..Try working on your car when each tire houses a black widow or 3. can see the webs in the day just hanging from my tires to the ground and I have 3 cars in my driveway with the same problem.
100 with about 100% humidity here too. Been in the upper 90's with high humidity for months and will be for a few more. Step outside and do nothing and you will soon be drenched with sweat like you jumped in a pool.
Ok, heres one .Thee weeks ago me and a buddie got a wild hair up our ****s and decided to take a road trip to the Grand Canyon Going up thru the mountains between the Texas border and Flagstaff Az i thought i was going to frickin die.So on the way back while p***ing thru El Paso i stoped in at Barnetts Harley to buy a t-shirt. Ended up trading in my 2006 dresser for a new 08 just so they would fly me home and not have to drive the 12 more hours back home...Hell i even paid for my buddies flight and to haul his bike back with my new one
Oklahoma-Spent yesterday Tig welding a roll cage. I was concentrating so hard I didn't really notice how hot it was. When I got up the bucket I was sitting on( with a removable top) had at least a couple cups of sweat in it.
Denise, how do you do it *******? ;o) Man-O-man I got to have a roof over my head down here in the deep south of Louisiana.......
I'll be glad when it cools down to 100. They just said on the news that it's 109 right now. I'm done for the day. Larry T
Don't feel bad, it's 100 degrees and 65% humidity here in Vegas. Next month will be much hotter, during the monsoon season here the swamp coolers don't work for ****.
WHOA, I almost had to wear long pants to work today here in Redondo Beach, down to mid to hi 70's with a cool ocean breeze bbbbrrrr.
Dragster "ride" lasted 6 minutes Salina, KS lasted 3 days Yeah Kansas was hotter How's your part of TX this time of year?......think about your answer very carefully. You might even want to lie if you ever think that you might want me to visit in the summer Megan and I were talking about that yesterday and the fact that we will be driving across I-80 in a couple of weeks on our way to B'ville. We MIGHT even put the top up during the heat of the day. Her next question to me was...."You're putting air in Big Olds this winter aren't you?"
