After I finished my roadster, I got a little bug to get another Nova like I had in high school. If I could find the actual car, I'd be even more happy. I sold it in 1998 to a guy in the bay area, and at that time it was Dark Green with Grey interior. Now, it could be a different color. If anyone has any knowledge of the whereabouts of this car, please PM me. Thanks.

When you say scary, I'm ***uming you're referring to the front end snafu on early cheyv IIs? Yea, that's the first thing I'll fix.

Those chintzy shock towers, weak front end and beer-can-top-leaf spring retainers!
Aside from that they were neat little cars?!

I definitely want a hard top. I already have a 62 Chevy II post car, but all signs are pointing to a '66. Thanks for the offers. Let's keep this one going, I'm feeling lucky. :)

The '66/'67 Nova is one of the best looking cars Chevy ever built.

The '66 yes, the '67 sort of. The front end isn't as cl***y. Of course I'm biased. :)

    Why would it be closed?

You have something against Novas? Especially finding the one that I built 10 years ago, my first car I ever did, the one that got me hooked on this hobby. If that aint hot rod history, then what is? :)

Do you have anymore details about who you sold it to or anything? I'll post it on StevesNovaSite.com for you if you want. If you're looking to buy one, that's a good site to check out.

Good luck to you, I'd love to have mine back, but unfortunately my sister totalled it many years ago.

I had one 2 yrs ago, bought it from a friend but it needed a bunch of sheetmetal work and I wasn't feelin all that. Semi rare 67 2 dr ht with a 250/3 spd and factory freak posi w/ 3.42 or 3.55 gears. Just spun em around in the cold so I didnt care to get scientific that much, just an educated guess. I got it running and then blew the carb out by stupidity, did the brakes and lines/hoses, just to get it roadworthy. Lost interest soon thereafter. Sold it to a guy in PA somewhere.

I am not a member of Steve's Nova Site either, but here's the old lady's 67 I put together for her a few years ago. Novas were made to be yellow in my biased opinion.

    "Why would it be closed?"

Because 1965 is the understood "cutoff" date for this site?

BTW - I had a '66 SS that I was stupid enough to part with back in the day. Most fun car I ever drove on the street. Stone stock, but absolutely unbeatable on the local "stoplight" racing circuit - and it was only a 283 with a Saginaw ******!

  23. When I was about 12 someone donated one to the fire department for practice. It was a '64 or '65. Even had baby moon caps on the back. They ruined some pretty decent older cars back then.

  24. Eh... when I was a fireman with the Cal. Dept. of Forestry I got to cut the tops off a 59 Impala and a 61 bubbletop Buick. We ruined them.

Scary? Aw, c'mon guys... these things aren't THAT bad!

Fresh bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, idler arm bearing conversion, and a proper alignment go a LONG way in improving the handling. I thought mine was scary too, until I went through the whole front end and rebuilt everything. Drives great now!

Or you could go the gold-chainer way and call up Ch***isworks for a new front clip...

I'm in the Bay Area and believe I know where the car might be. I've only seen one that color and it still had those wheels on there. First can you tell me about the sell of the car? Do you remember who the guy was? What was that color on the car? What was the interior color and did you do that?

Let me know any info on the car because I think I know it! ( Really well )

    Good luck
