BAD NEWS....HOFFERTS USED AUTO PARTS....another yard crushing everything.....went out there today to pick stuff up for some customers.....wasn't allowed in the yard....it is about 70% crushed and the rest will be gone this week probably....owners in bad health, and trouble with the township again....they are tired of the lawyer expenses and all the bull.......so our hobby is suffering again.....more old iron and cl***ic cars GONE, not to be seen again......sorry for the bad news, I didn't want anyone else wasting there gas and time on a trip to nowhere.......stan
the only thing that will slow this down is if metal prices drop and the local townships back the **** off! at this rate our new hobby will be "tree hugging" and "lawn mowing"!

Yep, China and Al Gore snuck out there and made the owner sick and got him in trouble with the township, yeah, that's it all right..... Not that it doesn't **** that it's happening, I'm just tired of all the knee jerk reaction to anything troubling hot rodding automatically being China's fault, or the tree hugger's or any single group. If folks really want to prevent these types of things from happening, GET INVOLVED IN YOUR LOCAL GOVERNMENT!!!! It's the LOCAL government that "caused" this situation, not China or Al. Get involved with your local governments and maybe you can stop this in your area. If you aren't part of the solution, you should SHUT UP. dv
Ditto to DV! We gotta push back. I joined the SEMA Action Group to get info on the **** the state & local gov'ts are trying to pull on us, have you??? The only way we can win, is if we ***** at the local officials that force these situation to happen. They work for us & need to help keep guys like him in business, not force them out. Killing small businesses screws up the tax rolls, or don't they know that?

Just telling everyone metal prices are trading at 50 dollers a ton less and price is going to be dropping for the next few weeks . I scape metal everyday at one place and my best freind runs the scal at the other big place in the area. Prices will be dropping around the contry in no time if they havent already. down 40 this week and i was told 20 next week on all steel. I dont know for sure but id say thats why hes s****ping out the yard in a few mouths we will be paying to get rid of steel again
