I think the "Solid" or the "Gennie" are much better looking, for ten or twenty bucks more I think. The smoothie is definitely not wheel that existed in the 50's if you care about finicky details like that.

Here are some shots of mine.

I actually traded these for a set of wires that came with my coupe. Call me stupid, but these are what I wanted and I got them.

These are what I am running. Although they are originally 39 Lincoln wheels if I remember correctly. :D

M.J., These are as cl***ic as it gets, can't go wrong. Here is a chance to become an Alliance member and save 10% on you wheel order. This would pay for a good portion of your Alliance membership and fund this great project along. Nice Merc brother!!-- Sololobo

That's cool, I've never seen those. I didn't mean I didn't like any rims without vents, I just meant the aftermarket "Smoothie" rim that is offered now, on traditional hot rods.

Coker does NOT make the wheels they sell. They get their wheels from Wheel Vintique. Custom backspacing was not available either.

Below are some photos of the wheels I got from Jason at http://www.earlywheel.com. Excellent service and next day shipping even for custom wheels.

Here is mine.I got the Coker chrome smoothies with baby moons and wide whites.I now think the whitewalls are too wide.Might look better when I drop it more.I had to use 15in wheels to clear my discs.
