I sold my '38 a month or so ago to fund my '32 build. The '38 left last week headed for it's new home. I snapped a few pics after we got it loaded. I hated to see it go. It is a super old car. I'm confident that the new owner will take good care of it though....

I have arranged to have David & Kirby at Kennedy's Hot Rod Shop build my '32 ch***is. I'm excited about my ch***is. It is getting a lot of good parts & is being built by a pair of pros. My goal is to end up with a bullet proof car & I have no doubt that I will.

How will I survive until then without a running hot rod though?

I hadn't given that any thought or worry when David called last week. See, I had been planning on taking all my ch***is parts to their shop in Selmer sometime soon so they could start on it when they got time. David is finishing up a super '32 Tudor & is looking forward to driving it..... & his '47 convertible was just sitting under a lean-to beside the shop.... He offered to let me use his car while I'm without. How awesome is that?!?!?! Needless to say, my weekend plans changed in a hurry. I left Knoxville at 4am Saturday & was in Selmer before 8. It was good to see Kirby & David & all they have going on in the shop.

So, until David wants his car back, I guess I'm cruising ******* in the Waxy Pull-up Bandits' staff car.

Good friends & family are hard to beat.

Oh my god that '38. is just about perfect. I hope that the new owner does not do a thing to it unless absolutely necessary. And as for your '32, I am sure it will be awesome as well, especially if the Kennedys are getting ahold of it.

Wow ! That's incredibly generous of him. Usually when someone offers a loaner, it is a beat up car w/o windshield or something like that. Instead, you get a nice '47 convertible !

Oh, he has one of those too. He gave it to my Grandfather.... who just wrecked it.... again. :p

I let the stone 'shine jug & '38 TN tag go with the '38 but couldn't let the shift knob go. It was just too cool. Hey, I had to have something to remember it by right? Besides, my 7 year-old would have killed me if I let it go.

The '32 is going to be a stunner. Guaranteed.

Sometimes you have to let one go to make another one happen. A working man cannot keep them all. I really miss my old 40 Ford coupe. The fact that Krusty40 ( fellow Hamber ) is now it's caretaker makes it a good bit easier because I know Vic most likely takes better care of the old whiskey hauler than I did.

Add in the fact that I will end up with a Deuce 3W coupe ... makes it all worthwhile.

    You did the right thing
    and you will be OK

And the Kennedys are good people ... :D
Enjoy the convertible and drive it up to the NATS ... it is only a few hundred miles for you. We came right by your exit on I-40 yesterday :)

Every year, I usually have a meeting the Thursday or Friday of the NATS. I figured it would fall that way this year & never even looked at the calendar. Turns out, my meeting is next week. If I had planned ahead a little I could be headed that way tonight - with the top down. But I didn't. :(

Every '38 piece I had went with the car (& there wasn't much). If it makes you feel any better though there wasn't any trim with it.

Dude, if you can't sell Kirby's Coupe at 17.5K I seriously doubt that you can sell anything. :p

Yea I'm the only one willing to take that ole heap off Jim's hands:D I've had to change the locks on my garage now so FAB32 won't "borrow" it some night. I finally beat him to the punch and bought something he really wants:p I can almost see a 32 5W in my future ;)

Jim did the 38 up right and I don't plan on changing a thing. The only upgrade that it might need (thanks to Michigan roads) is a new rear spring and gas shocks.

Better watch out Jim. You know I drove that 33 Plymouth coupe for 15 years and then one day I realized that "the older I get the more comfort I want". That's why I'm building my 48 Poncho ragtop.
I know that 32's gonna be killer. See ya at the Forge!

That blue spot in the back seat is the top of a car seat. ;)

I can't wait for Shades. This thing can sit in traffic on the strip & never get above 180*.

Dads 32 is coming along good we got the top instert in today. Be looking for it at Shades. I'll post some pics on the main board soon.
