Not really a "barn find" but I scored this garage find today....A true 69 SCRambler. Hasnt seen the light of day since 87. Supposedly the original owner purchased it and raced it in Dallas. Has a huge mechanical cam (bigger than the one in the Rebel Reaper) and 4.44 gears! The paint is pearl with flake and fade and it goes blue on one side and red on the other side! I would love to find out if anybody remembers the car and maybe some old pics. I dont plan to restore this car, just repair some of the paint....thanks. Don
I don't know any of the history on the car, but that is one cool Rambler. I used to have a '64 Rambler American with a flat-head six and three on the tree. Was my first car. But I always wanted an SC/RAMBLER. That is bad ***, especially the kustom paint. And you're right, keep the paint as it is. *****in!
No, but it had to be pretty stock cause the car is mostly stock. It has some traction bars that are unique. Battery in the trunk, electric fuel pump, intake and carb change. No cut wheel openings.
I didnt think that many people would care....the hood flew off when racing back in the day, so its replacement will need to be repainted....
Yeah....run. You and I would both have to push the cars down the quarter mile at this point in time.....that or make them into giant pedal cars. Your in better shape than I am but my Rambler might be a little bit lighter......hmmm, I bet it'd be a close race.
One of the most wicked stock off the floor cars of the time with a little bit of work. It could dip into low 12's or high 11's with very easy mods and set up. Please just gently clean, wash and wax that one. History on wheels.
